HEY! What the...
Damn! LET'S GET ON WITH THE GLOBAL WARMING ALREADY!!!!!!

Okay... so that's not so funny.
But, it's just a way of saying... yes. I'm gonna announce an indoor venue for us to get together very, very soon. Because it's just fucking FREEEEEEZING here in New York City! I think we'll also be announcing the first of the "Songwriter's Concerts"... maybe this week. I miss sharing music and laughs with you guys. Got some new songs to run by you.

Also have a new show up on "I Love the Company" today. Now, on show #204 I played a song off my COMMON GROUND album called "He's Just Mean". So, today, the subject is...
MEAN (In the sense that the word denotes being characterized by pettiness or malice, y'know? Cruel.)
Tough one.
Sometimes "funny" is so easy when it's holding hands with "mean". Sometimes a point that wants to be made is made with less effort and thought when it's married to "mean" or "cruel".
Damn!
Kind of a tough nut when I wanna write a satire or a song about the bizarre legal battles surrounding Anna Nicole Smith's dead body, or George W. Bush, or the ridiculous excuse we've got for TV "news" in this country, or... Donald Trump's hair. (See? See what I mean?)
Anyway, on "I Love the Company" I kinda do a little piece on that. Hell! I'm only human. It's a fine line and I'd love to know what you guys think about this kinda thing. (By the way... got a new verse about Donald Trump in the song, "Tom Cruise...")
Yeah, I'm the guy who wrote "Tom Cruise Scares Me"... but, I'm also the guy who wrote "He's Just Mean".
Schizopherenic?
Maybe just a touch.
Anyway, after you click on this logo to listen to show #205, pick up the phone and let me know how you feel about things, okay? (The phone numbers are further down this page.)

Musical guests: Full Out Freak, Cassie Kubinski and David Abbinanti. (Click on their photos to visit their websites, find out more about them, where they're playing, and how to get their music.)

Okay, and like I said yesterday, the Central Park Permit Fund is continuing for '07. You'll also help keep ILTC coming to you every weekday! If you wanna help out with the cost of getting out and making music in Central Park, or you feel like helping out with a little donation so that we can keep the podcast ("I Love the Company") going strong, here are the details.
I really appreciate it. Believe it or not, the NYC Parks Department already needed the money for this year's Special Events Permits. Actually, they already took the money for the first round of permits out of my account. (The $45 Sound Device Permits from the NYPD are next.) I figure it costs about $100 a weekend to do what we do at "The Hill".
So, yeah you can click on this link to help out if you feel like it, with PayPal or Amazon. (But, PayPal doesn't take as much as Amazon.) Y'know... you can also consider any donation a big help to keep the podcast going. (It really has turned into a full-time job.)
Okay, cool. AND... I wanna tell you. I miss playing music for you and hangin' with all of you here in New York City. So, today and early this week I'm scouting locations for a series of indoor concerts. Probably gonna hafta charge like, $15 or so to cover the cost of moving the whole gig indoors, so email me or call me and let me know if you think it's worth it. Y'know, get together and hang with all the same faces you see in Central Park in the summer... for 2 or 3 hours. Sing and laugh a little. Shake this winter shit!

Before I get outta here, I'll give you the ILTC phone numbers so you can call with a comment or opinion, or request, or a topic you'd like addressed on the "Weekly Wake-Up Call", or just... just to say "Hi".
