Okay... here we go. It's me... David, That Guitar Man. The one from Central Park.

Welcome back to all of you who've been away.

(Oh wait. I guess it's me who's kinda been away.)

Well, then I'd like to welcome myself back.

And, I didn't come back empty-handed. I'm here today with The Lovely Lisa and the re-posting of "I Love the Company - Show #200

Click on this logo to listen to it right now or download it to crank it up whenever you want.

After you listen, be sure to go ahead and just pick up the phone to leave a message, make a comment or request... or just say "Hey" and tell us where in the world you are.

I'll be back with a FULL update soon. Just gotta jump on a train right now to... yeah... AHHHHHHH! Go visit a good, good friend of mine who is a dentist. Got a little emergency goin' on. But, I'll be back... smilin'. (David Abramowitz is also the guy who executive-produced the very first CD we did years back... "The People on the Hill".)

Besides having Lisa sitting in the co-pilot's chair on some shows...

...the "Weekly Wake-Up Calls" are gonna pick back up right away, as well as the song-writing sessions. (Mark Aaron James, Cassie, Jason, Dodger... hope you're all paying attention.)

We're back!

It's also that time of year again... kind of a fund-raising-drive-time. So, on a completely different note, if you live in the NYC area... thanks to the several people who already sent a donation to the "Central Park Permit Fund" of '07. (I will be sending you individual emails in the next couple of days.) I could really use it and really, really appreciate it. Believe it or not, the NYC Parks Department already needed the money for this year's Special Events Permits. Actually, they already took the money for the first round of permits out of my account. (The $45 Sound Device Permits from the NYPD are next.)

So, yeah you can click on this link to help out if you feel like it, with PayPal or Amazon. (But, PayPal doesn't take as much as Amazon.)

Also... no matter where in the country or where in the world you live, we here at "That Guitar Man" (meaning me) are accepting donations to keep the podcast "I Love the Company" going until we can get a few sponsors behind the show. (Kinda like PBS or NPR, y'know?)

Please give whatever you can, okay? I figure all together out in Central Park, granola bars and occasional hot dogs included, it takes about $100 to get out there for each Saturday afternoon. And, podcasting really has become kind of a full-time job.

Wanna help out?

Cool.

But listen, if you can't... don't sweat it. I know what it's like to be poor. Hell, I'm poor right now! But, money is irrelevant to happiness. I'd much rather have you enjoying the music than worryin' about the money.

Thanks for everything.

Oh yeah, and here are the phone numbers to keep those comments, suggestions, requests and questions coming:

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
- Dean
