What a weekend!

Yeah, at the same time this May-like weather is fun... it's just a little spooky if you ask me.

No, I didn't go out to play a concert in Central Park yesterday. But, I could have!

PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE SILLY NOTION OF GLOBAL WARMING.

Y'know, because of this weather an awful lot of people have been emailing the site asking whether or not I'm gonna be playing in the park this weekend. I guess a few years ago I would... except that the people over at the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation have gotten very strict about the permits they issue me. I truly don't want to jeopardize the summer season by heading out there this weekend. (It's already entirely possible they are NOT going to issue the permits for our 16th summer together. We'll hafta see how it goes.)

But, that's part of the beauty of Podcasting. I do a brand new show here everyday Monday through Friday. Here... click on this logo and listen to the weekend show on "I Love the Company".

Or download it to listen whenever you want.

Yep... got Lisa to join me on this one.

We decided to look through a whole bunch of music that friends and fellow artists have given me over the years. Wanna play some of it on today's show and then gear up for a great week with a new show every day next week.

Also wanna share these wonderful music people with the good people who've hung out with me and enjoyed my music over the years. So, we're talkin' about doin' an entire series of concerts.... kind of an "Inside the Songwriters Studio" kinda thing... right here in New York City, starting in February when Lee and I get back from a gig I'm doing in Mexico.

More about that in the show today. (Episode #187.)

Musical guests: Sherman Ewing, Kathleen Mock, and Jodi Shaw. Click on their photos to visit their websites, find out more about them, where they're playing, and how to get their music.

. .

Hey listen... after you check out the show, why don't you leave a message or comment for me, or for Lisa, or both by calling one of the ILTC phone numbers.

Thanks for another great year in Central Park. We'll see what goes down in 2007.

Here's a link to the special comment I posted to which many people have responded with emails and phone calls, about the execution of Saddam Hussein. And, here's a link to the "Year 2006 in Review".

Okay, and remember.... if you haven't yet, go visit our sister website at Podshow.com then tell us what you think about it.

See you Monday.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
