Do you believe it!?

The "Year-End Concert" is tomorrow night!

Holy shit! Y'know, I truly know that time is an invention.... something we silly little creatures use to try to mark eternity. Still, I do get a kick out of sending one year out the door and welcoming another chance to finally find our way.

That's kinda what these year-end concerts at Merkin Hall celebrate. Well, that... and music and a whole lotta laughs.

And, this year... MAN! We're gonna have a good time. But, before I get into all of that, I gotta tell you that you oughta listen to today's podcast. It's episode #169 of "I Love the Company". Because on today's show, I'm giving out that pass-phrase again. Then when you come to the concert tomorrow night, if you tell the people at the CD table the pass-phrase, you get this kickin' T-shirt... for FREE.

Cool?

Here.... click on this logo to listen to the show and get the pass-phrase right now.

Or download it to listen whenever you want.

Okay, now... do you ever wonder where the inspiration for a song comes from?

I can tell you, it comes from all over... always from different sources... but, no matter the source, each inspiration still has to come through the heart. On today's show, I'll explain the source of inspiration for two of the songs I'm doin' tomorrow night at Merkin Hall; "The Perfect Girl for Me" and "The Next Time Around".

But, here at the website... y'know they say "a picture is worth a thousand words". Well, the inspiration for both songs?

Lisa

Guys, I'm gonna talk Lisa into co-hosting some podcasts with me, and into being a very integral part of "I Love the Video" once we get ready to really launch it... for real. Gonna be great!!!

Y'know what else is gonna be great!?!?!

The gig tomorrow night!

And, I made a very special edition CD just to be sold at this gig. It's a collection of some of the hits from this past summer that you can't get on any of the other CDs. (It's a relly cool, uniquely New York Christmas gift and it's only $10. (Or, it's also FREE when you buy one of the regular CDs.)

"Tom Cruise Scares Me"
"The Religion Song"
"Oh, Exxon"
"A different Cowboy's Lament"
"Next Time Around" (The New Year Song)

I'm tellin' you... get a chunk of your holiday shopping done right in the lobby before and after the show. ALL of the CDs will be on sale. (And, they're all really easy to wrap!)

Gonna be a great show this year. We always have a great time at Merkin Hall... a great way to kick the year in the ass as it heads out the door. I checked the box office yesterday afternoon. IT LOOKS LIKE WE'RE GONNA HAVE A GREAT CROWD!!! We're gonna have a blast. My good, good buddy Roger Bartlett is back from Las Vegas and is gonna be sharing the stage with me in a few days. It'll be the first time we're gonna make music together since the Voices Together Concert almost a year ago. I think you're probably gonna be able to walk up and get seats the night of the show. But, it's gonna be really close to a sell-out.

Now.... the box office is open today, tomorrow and Wednesday. If you want, you can call them directly:

212-501-3330

You can also get tickets online right this minute by clicking on this link!

This year Roger Bartlett is back in town. George Wurzbach, Ryan Kelly and Cassie Kubinski are all gonna share the stage with me. (Along with a couple of surprises.)

Oh yeah, and on today's ILTC... my musical guest is one of the people onstage with mee tomorrow night: George Wurzbach. (Click on his photo to visit his website, find out about him, where he's playing and how to get his music.)

Okay... gotta get ready for the gig in a couple of days.

SEE YOU TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!

Thanks for a great year!

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
