Welcome to the website. Today once again you can download a scratch track of one of my newest songs, a song that I played yesterday at "The Hill", a little bit further down the page. But, first...

Y'know. I really love my life. Man! I love writin' songs and singin' 'em for New Yorkers and people from all over the world.

Were you hangin' out with me in Central Park yesterday?

If you were, there's a good chance you're in today's update. Got a couple of pictures at "The Hill" before the rain came. I gues I was kimd of expecting that there would be a little chill in the air when the Sun ducked behind the trees, The San Remo and The Dakota. But, I didn't expect that yesterday would be THE day that autumn arrived in such freakin' dramatic fashion.

But, if you were there before rain and the cold...

Thanks.

. . .

TODAY?

Yeah... um, the ground might be a little wet. So, bring something to sit on. But, what the hell.

I'm gonna head out for a few hours. See what happens.

If you don't live in or around New York City, I don't wanna rub it in. But, it's really a special thing we've got goin' on here. You really oughta try to get here. Maybe you can plan a trip around the first week of December and join us all in Merkin Concert Hall. (More about that later.)

But, hey... y'know? You're all a part of this website just by showing up everyday. And you can all be a part of the podcast, "I Love the Company", just by calling in and leaving a comment or a message for me.

This weeknd's musical guests are: Roger "Dodger" Bartlett, Veronica Mittenzwei and Jenny Beck. (As always, click on their photos to visit their websites, find out about them, where they're playing and how to get more of their music.)

. .

Check for a brand new show tomorrow (Monday) and every day next week. And be sure to stay close 'cause I might have some really big news about the podcast. All kindsa wonderful ideas swirlin' around. James Marino and I are surfing a very cool energy right now... seeing where the wave takes this whole website thing.

And, "I Love the Company" might be on the verge of something kinda cool.

Oh... hey! A special shout out to two of my younger fans. A couple of cool guys I met when I was doin' a gig at "The Cutting Room" a while back. (Told you guys I'd put you on the website!)

Check for a new show on ILTC every day this week. And be sure to stay close 'cause I might have some really big news about the podcast. All kindsa wonderful ideas swirlin' around. James Marino and I are surfing a very cool energy right now... seeing where the wave takes this whole website thing.

Thanks to every single person who headed to Central Park to hang with me this summer! And, thanks for an amazing 15 years!!! I hope I see all of you at Merkin Concert Hall on December 6th. (Tickets went on sale last week!)

Even though the show sold out last year, a lot of people told me that they couldn't attend because it was so damned close to the holidays. So, this year the show is earlier... on Wednesday, December 6th. (I'll be sending out an email about it at the end of the week. So, if you wanna be among the first to get the best seats, go ahead and follow this link. You can get tickets right now and every day this week!)

Um... or if it's easier, you can just call the box office number today (Sunday) and every day this week:

Cool?

Okay, before I get outta here I'm gonna ask you all to check out the MySpace page. And, when you do I'd like you to sign up as a friend. I'm very new on the damned thing. But, I'm really exploring the whole MySpace thing to see if it's gonna be fun and worth the effort.

Let me know what you think, okay?

Here's the link:

Oh and hey!

If you wanna hear the roughs of my newest song... the song about one of the greatest engines of human conflict ever devised, click on this photo! It's "The Religion Song" and it's brand new.

If you've been comin' around for a while, thanks for always showing up... here and in the park. And if you're brand new here, take a look around. There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. And, you can go back and listen through a whole bunch of the previous Podcasts. Actually... you can go back and listen to all of them if you have the time.

You can also email me about anything you want by clicking on that "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But I promise I read every single one.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
