Man! I don't know here in the world or where in the country you're reading this right now. And, I don't wanna rub it in! But, DAMN! What day we had in Central Park yesterday!

I LOVE my life!

I love writing songs and singin' them for people. I love the people I meet. And this week starting today, I'm gonna post a bunch of pictures of the "people on the hill" from this past weekend.

First things first... its time for a brand new installment of "I Love the Company". This is a fun show! And, if YOU were in Central Park yesterday... YOU are on the show today.

You can hear it right now by clicking on this logo.

Or, download it to listen whenever you want.

Today's musical guests are: Joshua Grosvent, The Alice Project and Captain Tom (From Fat Hippy Records). (As always, click on their photos to visit their websites, find out about them, where they're playing and how to get more of their music.)

. .

Okay, listen... I really mean it when I say I had a special weekend. And, here are the first photos of some of the people who came out to hang with me. I hope I see every single one of you at Merkin Concert Hall in about 8 weeks.

SERIOUSLY... if you were out in Central Park this weekend, keep checkin' back for more photos this week.

And, I really hope to see all of you at Merkin Hall !

Okay... FREE STUFF! Here are 2 new FREE downloads. I'd really like to hear from you about both of them. YEAH! One of these is the song that has rocketted around the internet over the past few days. Okay, okay... so, it's a parody. But, I hadda get it out fast. Blame webmaster James Marino for this one! (Well, and ex-Congressman Mark Foley) This came about during a diner-run the other day!

"Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Pages"

The other is a song about one of the greatest engines of human conflict ever devised, click on this link! It's "The Religion Song" and it's brand new.

All I ask is that you point a few more friends to this website, okay?

OKAY!

NOW!

If you're gonna be in or around New York City on December 6th, right now you can get your tickets for the "Year-End Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall by calling the box office.

212-501-3330

Or, if you wanna be among the first to get your seats, go ahead and follow this link. You can get tickets right now online, too.

I'm tellin' you, that gig is so much fun every year. This year, it's gonna be great again. I'm already lookin' forward to hangin' out with you guys. Gonna have some wonderful guests on stage with me. Try not miss it. Get a bunch of friends together and make a night of it!

Now, this is something that isn't a whole lotta fun for me to do. And tragically, it's getting harder and harder to keep up. But, I committed to it and no matter how painful this is to do every day, I'm gonna keep bringing you...

GEORGE W. BUSH'S TRAGIC NUMBER

This just isn't funny. It's outrageously tragic. At least 34 more Americans have lost their lives in Iraq in the first 9 days of this month. But, that's only one horrible number.

Here at The Guitar Man website, I'm posting George W. Bush's "Tragic Number". That's the number of American fatalities in wholly unAmerican and immoral Iraq War until George W. Bush is directly responsible for the EQUAL number of people killed by Osama Bin Laden in the World Trade Center.

If YOU voted for him and continue to support his war, I hope you will wake up soon. At the time I posted this, the number stands at 1. (Of course, more Americans and certainly more Iraqis have probably died while you're reading this. People are dying so fast in the nightmare over there that I'm having a hard time keeping up with this update.)

Harsh?

You betcha!

Live with it. Or, wake up! It's not too late. (Well, it's too late for those who are dead or dying. But, it's not too late for you. As John Lennon said, "I hope someday you will join us.")

Moving on...

Okay, before I get outta here I'm gonna ask you all to check out the MySpace page. And, when you do I'd like you to sign up as a friend. I'm very new on the damned thing. But, I'm really exploring the whole MySpace thing to see if it's gonna be fun and worth the effort.

Let me know what you think, okay?

Here's the link:

If you've been comin' around for a while, thanks for always showing up... here and in the park. And if you're brand new here, take a look around. There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. And, you can go back and listen through a whole bunch of the previous Podcasts. Actually... you can go back and listen to all of them if you have the time.

You can also email me about anything you want by clicking on that "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But I promise I read every single one.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
