New week. New update. New show on "I Love the Company" today and every day this week.

Gotta tell you right up front. There are a lot of really amazing things goin' on around here. I'll talk about some of them on the podcast this week. But, first... hey. Really sorry about the rainout on Saturday. At least we got out to Central Park for a few more hours yesterday. (If you were out there for a little while on Saturday, go check out yesterday's update. Your photo might be here on the website!) And, if you were out there yesterday.... thanks for a really sweet day! I had an experience with you that I'm going to share on ILTC today.

Y'know, this time of year it's always a little iffy weather-wise. So, maybe it's time for everybody to start thinkin' about getting tickets for the Year-End Concert at Merkin Concert Hall the first week of December. (That show sells out every year and it's a blast! Ask anyone who's ever been to one.) I'll tell you how to get tickets today a little further down the page.

HEY! Right now!

I'm kickin' off the week with "Mixed-Bag Monday" on "I Love the Company". Here's the link to the show. (Just click on this logo to download it for later or listen to it right now.) It's fun show today.

I'm sharin' another little live work-in-progress with you guys. A new song called "You Don't Know".

This weeknd's musical guests are: Cynthia Lin, The Tones and Percy Strother. (As always, click on their photos to visit their websites, find out about them, where they're playing and how to get more of their music.)

. .

Y'know... you can subscribe to this show and have it automatically downloaded to your computer every day so you don't miss any of 'em. Just click on on that itunes button over there on the right.

So, what's goin' on?

.

.

.

Gotta listen to the show.

And, then call this number to be a part of this whole marvelous mess. Let me know what's on your mind, in your heart, and what you think about the show and the update. Just say "Hey" if you want, talk about the music, let me know what you think about "The Wednesday Wake-Up Call" or how you feel about the "George W. BushTragic Number" feature a little further down the page on this site. Maybe I'll play your comments next week.

Be heard.

This time of year, I never know how many more times we're gonna get to hang out in Central Park. So, I'll say it today... Thanks for another great summer!!! I hope I see all of you at Merkin Concert Hall on December 6th. (Tickets went on sale last week!) Even though the show sold out last year, a lot of people told me that they couldn't attend because it was so damned close to the holidays. So, this year the show is earlier... on Wednesday, December 6th. (I'll be sending out an email about it at the end of the week. So, if you wanna be among the first to get the best seats, go ahead and follow this link. You can get tickets right now and every day this week!)

Um... or if it's easier, you can just call the box office number today (Sunday) and every day this week:

Cool?

Okay, before I get outta here I'm gonna ask you all to check out the MySpace page. And, when you do I'd like you to sign up as a friend. I'm very new on the damned thing. But, I'm really exploring the whole MySpace thing to see if it's gonna be fun and worth the effort.

Let me know what you think, okay?

Here's the link:

Oh and hey!

If you wanna hear the roughs of my newest song... the song about one of the greatest engines of human conflict ever devised, click on this photo! It's "The Religion Song" and it's brand new.

Okay... sadly... it's time again for...

GEORGE W. BUSH'S TRAGIC NUMBER

This just isn't funny. It's outrageously tragic. 73 more Americans have lost their lives in Iraq in September. But, that's only one horrible number.

Here at The Guitar Man website, I'm posting George W. Bush's "Tragic Number". That's the number of American fatalities in wholly unAmerican and immoral Iraq War until George W. Bush is directly responsible for the equal number of people killed by Osama Bin Laden in the World Trade Center.

If YOU voted for him and continue to support his war, I hope you will wake up soon. At the time I posted this, the number stands at 34. (Of course, more Americans and Iraqis have probably died while you're reading this.)

Harsh?

You betcha!

Live with it. Or, wake up! It's not too late. (Well, it's too late for those who are dead or dying. But, it's not too late for you. As John Lennon said, "I hope someday you will join us.")

If you've been comin' around for a while, thanks for always showing up... here and in the park. And if you're brand new here, take a look around. There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. And, you can go back and listen through a whole bunch of the previous Podcasts. Actually... you can go back and listen to all of them if you have the time.

You can also email me about anything you want by clicking on that "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But I promise I read every single one.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
