Okay kids! That's a wrap!

Another week.

This has been a really... um... interesting week. If you're new around here, welcome to the website. If you're a regular.... thanks for hangin' out. Got a really cool show toay on "I Love the Company". Some fine, fine singer/songwriters... two of whom happen to be friends of mine. Got another work-in-progress on the show today. Y'know, one of those songs that's still trying to find it's voice. One of those songs I haven't put on a CD yet. ("I Was You")

Also, you can still download the scratch recording of one of my newest songs ("The Religion Song") for free, by clicking on a photo near the end of today's update.

But first... But first... here's the weekend installment of "I Love the Company".

Now... I understand that in the last 24 hours the show got shut down because soooooo many people were trying to hear it. (That's actually a good problem to have.) But, timing is everything. So, if you're back to try again.... um... thanks for trying again.

The show is up. Just click on this logo.

Or, download it to listen whenever and wherever you want.

Today's guests are: Laura Clapp, Roger Bartlett and Sam Leopold. (As always, click on their photos to visit their websites, find out about them, where they're playing and how to get more of their music.)

. .

Okay, now I'm gonna keep one eye on the sky and one eye on the satellite imagery to see if I'm gonna be able to head out to Central Park to hang with you guys here in New York City tomorrow. Hope so.

And, I'm already hoping I see all of you at Merkin Concert Hall on December 6th. (Tickets went on sale last week!)

Even though the show sold out last year, a lot of people told me that they couldn't attend because it was so damned close to the holidays. So, this year the show is earlier... on Wednesday, December 6th. (I'll be sending out an email about it at the end of the week. So, if you wanna be among the first to get the best seats, go ahead and follow this link. You can get tickets right now and every day this week!)

If it's easier, you can just call the box office number right now:

212-501-3330

Cool?

If you're reading this in a different part of the country or a different part of the world, you might wanna think about planning your next trip to The Big Apple around the first week of December. Then you can catch the Year-End Concert!

You listening, Mr. Adam Curry? Bring the Lady Patricia and hang in New York for a while. It's great around that time of year.

The reason I'm doin' this kinda personal shout out to someone I've never met is because this guy, Adam, has a cool thing goin' on at Podshow.com. And this past week, a couple of times on his podcast The Daily Source Code he's been hip-deep-in-bullshit concerning some of the songs I've written. But, he's gotten my back and that's so cool. I think he and I and James Marino and my friend Sid are gonna wind up doin' something very cool together on the internet. Not sure what yet. But, y'know... I'm a possibility junkie! (Or I wouldn't live the life I'm living!)

Anyway, listen to today's "I Love the Company" to get what I'm talkin' about. And be sure to listen to Adam's "Daily Source Code"... #464 and #465 to get the whole picture.

In fact, click on this picture to hear his show from yesterday.

But, check out Podshow.com for the whole shebang!

Like James Marino, the webmaster of this site, and all the people who are close to me, he let me know that he "gets" what I'm trying my best to do. You gotta go to Podshow.com and catch how a man I never met kinda went to bat for me over in the UK and on the net.

Very cool.

Okay... it's time to update:

GEORGE W. BUSH'S TRAGIC NUMBER

Here at The Guitar Man website, I'm posting George W. Bush's "Tragic Number". That's the number of American fatalities in wholly unAmerican and immoral Iraq War until George W. Bush is directly responsible for the equal number of people killed by Osama Bin Laden in the World Trade Center.

If YOU voted for him and continue to support his war, I hope you will wake up soon. At the time I posted this, the number stands at 52. (Of course, more Americans and Iraqis have probably died while you're reading this.)

Harsh?

You betcha!

Live with it. Or, wake up! It's not too late. (Well, it's too late for those who are dead or dying. But, it's not too late for you. As John Lennon said, "I hope someday you will join us.")

By the way, if you wanna be a part of this marvelous mess, or have anything to say about the things you read here or hear on ILTC, or have any musical requests.... or, just wanna say "Hey"... here's the number to call:

646-224-8162

Okay, if you wanna donload that song I was talkin' about at the top of this update... the song about one of the greatest engines of human conflict ever devised, click on this photo! It's "The Religion Song" and it's brand new.

If you've been comin' around for a while, thanks for always showing up... here and in the park. And if you're brand new here, take a look around. There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. And, you can go back and listen through a whole bunch of the previous Podcasts. Actually... you can go back and listen to all of them if you have the time.

You can also email me about anything you want by clicking on that "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But I promise I read every single one.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
