Welcome to the website! "Women's Day" is back on "I Love the Company"!!! (Okay, I sneak in there to sing with a couple of the women. But hell... it's my podcast.) And, here in the daily update, I've got an old/new video for you to check out. It's a clip from the very first time I ever sang "Get Out Our House" anywhere. (That's a little further down the page.)
First, I hafta say... I think the weather is lookin' really good for another Saturday of hangin' out... singin' songs and sharin' a few laughs.

And, I had a great time bringing you "The Wednesday Wake-Up Call" yesterday. If you missed it, or any of the past podcasts, they're all archived right over there. Or, you can get any show with the corresponding daily update by hitting the "Archive" button over there.
But, today is... "WOMEN'S DAY".
Great, great ladies on today's show.
Click on this logo to hear "I Love the Company". (Then call or email a few friends and ask them to do the same.)

Or, download it to listen whenever and wherever you want.
No, you don't need an ipod! Just click on the logo and turn on your damned speakers!
Today's guests are: Veronica Mittenzwei, Danielle Miraglia, Ryan Kelly, Cassie Kubinski and Joyce Stovall. (As always, click on their photos to visit their websites, find out about them, where they're playing and how to get more of their music.)

Okay... HERE'S SOMETHING FUN!
Once a month, I'm asked to sit in at the SGA Songwrirter's Circle at The Red Lion in the Village. It's a great place to try out new stuff and share a stage with some amazing writer's.... artists like Geroge Wurzbach, Sam Leopold and Kirsten Thein among many. ME? I'm alwyas makin' shit up as I go along. One time, a while back, I had an idea for one of my more pointed, political and fun songs, but I got the idea that afternoon. So, I started working on the lyric on the subway on the way to the gig. I finished the first rough draft of it sitting at a table waiting to go on. A friend of mine, a brilliant writer named Frank Beacham, caught a couple of pix as the song was being written.
.
20 minutes later, I got on stage, played it and sang it with you guys.
Click on the photo for the video.

That happens to be the incomparable Sam Leopold jumping in on guitar and George Wurzbach jammin' on the keyboard. Soooooo cool.

Okay... it's time to update:
GEORGE W. BUSH'S TRAGIC NUMBER
This just isn't funny. It's outrageously tragic. 68 more Americans have lost their lives in Iraq so far this month. But, that's only one horrible number.
Here at The Guitar Man website, I'm posting George W. Bush's "Tragic Number". That's the number of American fatalities in wholly unAmerican and immoral Iraq War until George W. Bush is directly responsible for the equal number of people killed by Osama Bin Laden in the World Trade Center.
If YOU voted for him and continue to support his war, I hope you will wake up soon. At the time I posted this, the number stands at 39. (Of course, more Americans and Iraqis have probably died while you're reading this.)

Harsh?
You betcha!
Live with it. Or, wake up! It's not too late. (Well, it's too late for those who are dead or dying. But, it's not too late for you. As John Lennon said, "I hope someday you will join us.")
By the way, you don't only hafta call if you wanna make a comment. You can also call if you wanna be a part of this marvelous mess in any way... have anything to say about the things you read here or hear on ILTC, or have any musical requests.... or, just wanna say "Hey".
Here's the number again to leave a message for me and for the podcast.

Okay, now... before I get outta here. Y'know, I love the company here on the internet.... but, I really love the company at Merkin Hall every December! Right now, you might wanna make sure you get the best seats available for the annual, traditional, we-always-have-a-blast, YEAR-END CONCERT at Merkin Concert Hall on December 6th. (Tickets went on sale last week!)

Even though the show sold out last year, a lot of people told me that they couldn't attend because it was so damned close to the holidays. So, this year the show is earlier... on Wednesday, December 6th. (I'll be sending out that email about it this week. So, if you wanna be among the first to get the best seats, go ahead and follow this link. You can get tickets every day this week!)
If it's easier, you can just call the box office number right now:

If you've been comin' around for a while, thanks for always showing up... here and in the park. And if you're brand new here, take a look around. There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. You can also email me about anything you want by clicking on that "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But I promise I read every single one.
Thanks again.
