Hey, welcome to the website!

Did you all get something out of "The Wednesay Wake-Up Call" yesterday?

I know, I know. Yesterday was a HUGE update. But, there was a lot to say and there's a lot goin' on.

Like... um... before I get to today's show, I just wanna remind everybody that this Saturday is September 16th. And, that's the day we all shared an amazing experience back in 2001. So, I'm planning to head to Central Park and do something kinda special. Gonna be fun.

Were you on "The Hill" back then?

Remember?

Anyway, weather-permitting, this Saturday is gonna be a wonderful day.

Okay, here's the Thursday installment of "I Love the Company".

Click on this logo to hear today's show. It's a good one. (Then call or email a few friends and ask them to do the same.)

Or, download it to listen whenever and wherever you want.

And, I really want you all to be a part of the show this week.

Please, if you have anything to say, if you have anything to say about this show, if you have any requests for music throughout the week, or even if you just wanna say "Hi".... call this number:

646-224-8162

Today's musical guests are: Alan Bennett, Beth Thornely and Adrina Thorpe. (As always, click on their photos to visit their websites, find out about them, where they're playing and how to get more of their music.)

. .

Really enjoy the music today. On today's show, I'm also doin' a little unplugged thing... a brand new song I'm just workin' on. A real work-in-progress. Maybe I'll have it ready to go by Saturday in Central Park.

BTW... I'm gonna send this off to James Marino to see if we can start renewing some of the features around this site, just to have a little more fun. Here's a new map I just put together for newcomers to find their way to "The Hill". (Butcha gotta click on this photo to get the larger image and the full impact.)

So, head to the park on Saturday. And then... like I said in yesterday's update, on Sunday I'm gonna be participating in a solemn demonstration to focus on the human cost of this immoral and unAmerican war that is raging in Iraq. It's an event called "Number the Dead". I'll tell you all about it on "I Love the Company" today. But, you can also click on this logo to visit their website and find out how you can stand up and take your place in line as well.

Sensible people, honest people, good people. LET'S START TAKIN' IT TO THE STREETS!

Join me in the park on Saturday, and then on Fifth Avenue on Sunday, okay?

Also, here's another new work in progress about one of the greatest engines of human misery and divisiveness devised by man... "The Religion Song".

Okay, before I get outta here I'm gonna ask you all to check out the MySpace page. And, when you do I'd like you to sign up as a friend. I'm very new on the damned thing. But, I'm really exploring the whole MySpace thing to see if it's gonna be fun and worth the effort.

Let me know what you think, okay?

Here's the link:

If you've been comin' around for a while, thanks for always showing up... here and in the park. And if you're brand new here, take a look around. There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. And, you can go back and listen through a whole bunch of the previous Podcasts. Actually... you can go back and listen to all of them if you have the time.

You can also email me about anything you want by clicking on that "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But I promise I read every single one.

BTW - TOMORROW I'm beginning a new feature that will be posted here on the website for the next few weeks.

The TRAGIC NUMBER

Stop back tomorrow.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
