Okay... back to the music!

Gotta say first... I'm completely disgusted by the state of network and cable news in this country. I'll have more to say about that on "The Wednesday Wake-Up Call" tomorrow. But, after the crap I saw most of the day on television surrounding the events of 9-11 five years ago... the people in the news industry, all of them, oughta be abjectly embarrassed rather than patting themselves on the back as much as they did yesterday. I'm sure that deep-down, anyone who is a true journalist is embarrassed on some level. The rest of those suits and talking heads are just that.... empty suits and talking heads.

It was good to see, however, that Keith Olbermann had the balls to utter the words that so few have had the courage to speak.

"The polite phrase for how so many of us were duped into supporting a war on the false premise that it had something to do with 9/11 is 'lying by implication'. The impolite phrase is 'impeachable offense.'"

'nough said.

Let's move on! If you're new around here, welcome. Like I said... BACK TO THE MUSIC!!!

Got a great, GREAT show for you today on "I Love the Company". Music from around the Podsafe Music Network and MySpace.com. Today, I'm playing tracks that are all over the musical map... folk/rock, country, alternative, rock n roll.

Music Baby!!!

Click on this logo to hear today's edition of ILTC. (It's kind of a special show, just for today.)

Or, download it to listen whenever and wherever you want.

And, I really want you to be a part of the show this week.

Please, if you have anything to say, if you have anything to say about this show, if you have any requests for music throughout the week, or even if you just wanna say "Hi".... call this number:

646-224-8162

Today's musical guests are: Michelle Murray, Mozella, Alice Cooper and Geoff Smith.

(As always, click on their photos to visit their websites, find out about them, where they're playing and how to get more of their music.)

. . .

Like I said... today the music on today's show is all over the map! Good for us!

Rock 'n Roll! Country! Folk! Alternative! Who the fuck knows!?

It's music, dammit!

What else... oh yeah. Y'know I found today's artists on The Podsafe Network and MySpace. (Michelle and Mozella were discovered on MySpace, and Alice Cooper and Geoff Smith are on The Podsafe Network.)

Have you all gone to check out the MySpace page. And, if you have... have you signed up as friends and contacts? I'm very new on the damned thing. But, I'm really exploring the whole MySpace thing to see if it's gonna be fun and worth the effort.

Let me know, okay?

Here's the link:

Of course, TOMORROW it's time for another "Wake Up Call". And, I'm gonna have an announcement about my annual "Year-End Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall. That concert usually sells out, so I'll let you know as soon as the tickets go on sale.

Oh! And... yeah, another FREE download of a work in progress. I still wanna hear from you guys about my newest song. Just click on this link to give it a listen.

THE RELIGION SONG

If you've been comin' around for a while, thanks for always showing up... here and in the park. And if you're brand new here, take a look around. There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. And, you can go back and listen through a whole bunch of the previous Podcasts. Actually... you can go back and listen to all of them if you have the time.

You can also email me about anything you want by clicking on that "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But I promise I read every single one.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
