What an update I have for you today!!!
And, what a show on "I Love the Company"!
Settle in, okay? A lot goin' on today, and a lot goin' on this weekend comin' up.
First, I hafta say welcome to all of the newcomers. Bookmark this page and be sure to come back every single day to hear a new installment of "I Love the Company". In case you don't know, it's a show that is all about music, the people who make music, and the people who love music. But, today is Wednesday, so it's "The Wednesday Wake-Up Call"!
But, first... let me tell you about TWO things that are happening this weekend here in New York City.
On Saturday afternoon, I will be at "The Hill" in Central Park where I always am, doing what I always do. But, this Saturday is September 16th, and that marks the day that we all came together after that horrible September day back in 2001. Were you there? (Here's a photo from September 16th, 2001.)

Remember?
If you were there, or if you've heard me speak about the remarkable energy of that day, come on out to Central Park this Saturday and we'll do something special again, okay?
Then... on Sunday, I'm gonna be participating in a wonderful demonstration to focus on the human cost of this immoral and unAmerican war that is raging in Iraq. It's an event called "Number the Dead". I'll tell you all about it on "I Love the Company" today. But, you can also click on this logo to visit their website and find out how you can stand up and take your place in line as well.

Sensible people, honest people, good people. LET'S START TAKIN' IT TO THE STREETS!
Y'know, I get email from all over the country and all over the world these days. I got one recently from a good, good man in Canada who is completely befuddled as to why Americans allow these horrible people in Washington get a way with such lying, especially as their sons and daughters are dying. Then I got an email from a guy in Spain who said he loves every single New Yorker he met while he was visiting, but is just as puzzled as to why millions of people took to the streets in Spain until that countrty withdrew it's forces from Iraq, and yet this is the only protest he saw while he was here in this country. (He emailed me this photo two days ago, and while I felt such love and pride for the individuals in this picture, I also felt just a little embarrassed.)

So... start HERE!
CLICK ON THIS LOGO AND LISTEN TO "I LOVE THE COMPANY" TODAY! (Then call or email a few friends and ask them to do the same.)

Or, download it to listen whenever and wherever you want.
And, I really want you all to be a part of the show this week.

.
Okay, listen... I know this is a lot to get all in one day. But, I'm not done yet.
Here's another song that was sent to me by my good friend, folk legend Christine Lavin. She sent it to me for the Wednesday Wake-Up Call, but the show was in the can by time I got it. So, I decided to let you guys have a listen right here at the website.
The Peter Principle at Work
Also, here's my new work in progress about one of the greatest engines of human misery devised by man... "The Religion Song".
Okay, before I get outta here I'm gonna ask you all to check out the MySpace page. And, when you do I'd like you to sign up as a friend. I'm very new on the damned thing. But, I'm really exploring the whole MySpace thing to see if it's gonna be fun and worth the effort.
Let me know what you think, okay?

TOMORROW an all new ILTC and I'm gonna have an announcement about my annual "Year-End Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall. That concert usually sells out, so I'll let you know as soon as the tickets go on sale.
If you've been comin' around for a while, thanks for always showing up... here and in the park. And if you're brand new here, take a look around. There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. And, you can go back and listen through a whole bunch of the previous Podcasts. Actually... you can go back and listen to all of them if you have the time.
Gonna leave you today with a photo taken this week by one of the "Hill" regulars, a guy named Sean Friedman. (He aways sends the coolest photos to the website.)

You can also email me about anything you want by clicking on that "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But I promise I read every single one.
Thanks again.
