Baseball season ends this weekend.

But the playoffs begin.

Every ending signals a beginning, and so it goes.

I guess that soon I'll be ending the 15th summer I've been playing music and hangin' out with you guys... the 15th year that I've been known as "That Guitar Man from Central Park". But, there are so many things in my creative life that are just beginning. It's the nature of Creation. It's the nature of my life... and, that's a damned good thing. Because I'm a possiblity junkie!

If you live in or around New York City...YES! I'm heading out to "The Hill" this afternoon. I think I'm gonna have some very special guests stop by and sit in. Gonna make some music and share a few laughs. Got a couple of new songs I wanna try out and a couple of great old cover tunes I wanna run by you guys today as well.

If you're reading this in a different part of the country or a different part of the world, go ahead and click on this logo to hear the weekend installment of the podcast "I Love the Company".

And, then call this number to be a part of this whole marvelous mess. Feel closer to New York and the park. Let me know what's on your mind, in your heart, and what you think about the show. Maybe I'll play your comments next week.

Be heard.

Today's musical guests are: Roger "Dodger" Bartlett, Veronica Mittenzwei and Jenny Beck. (As always, click on their photos to visit their websites, find out about them, where they're playing and how to get more of their music.)

. .

Check for a new show every day next week. And be sure to stay close 'cause I might have some really big news about the podcast. All kindsa wonderful ideas swirlin' around. James Marino and I are surfing a very cool energy right now... seeing where the wave takes this whole website thing.

Thanks to every single person who headed to Central Park to hang with me this summer! And, thanks for an amazing 15 years!!! I hope I see all of you at Merkin Concert Hall on December 6th. (Tickets went on sale last week!)

Even though the show sold out last year, a lot of people told me that they couldn't attend because it was so damned close to the holidays. So, this year the show is earlier... on Wednesday, December 6th. (I'll be sending out an email about it at the end of the week. So, if you wanna be among the first to get the best seats, go ahead and follow this link. You can get tickets right now and every day this week!)

Um... or if it's easier, you can just call the box office number tomorrow (Sunday) and every day next week:

Cool?

Okay, before I get outta here I'm gonna ask you all to check out the MySpace page. And, when you do I'd like you to sign up as a friend. I'm very new on the damned thing. But, I'm really exploring the whole MySpace thing to see if it's gonna be fun and worth the effort.

Let me know what you think, okay?

Here's the link:

Oh and hey!

If you wanna hear the roughs of my newest song... the song about one of the greatest engines of human conflict ever devised, click on this photo! It's "The Religion Song" and it's brand new.

If you've been comin' around for a while, thanks for always showing up... here and in the park. And if you're brand new here, take a look around. There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. And, you can go back and listen through a whole bunch of the previous Podcasts. Actually... you can go back and listen to all of them if you have the time.

You can also email me about anything you want by clicking on that "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But I promise I read every single one.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
