Thursday, August 17, 2006

Yeah, today is Thursday. And, Thursday used to be "Women's Day" around here at the website. So today on "I Love the Company" it's back, with some really wonderful female artists... Jenny Beck, Megan Palmer and Teresa James.

First, a little business.

Yes... tomorrow night I am playing LIVE down in The Village. Pier 45. It's the "Sunset Concert Series". There are a few more of those left. It's great to be able to hang out with the below 14th Street crowd.

Then Saturday, of course, I'm at home.... in Central Park.

Okay, time for a little fun. It's a kickin' show today!

To hear today's ILTC, just click on this logo.

Or, download it to listen whenever and wherever you want.

And, if you wanna catch up on previous shows, they're all archived. Just check 'em out over there on the right.

Click on my guest's photos to visit their websites, find out about them and how to get their music.

. .

BTW... I've been playin' a few of Karlus Trapp's tracks on the Podcast over the past few weeks. So, he's been invited to come out as my special musical guest. Just as artists Cassie Kubinski, David Abbinanti, Ray Jessel, Sam Leopold, and Alan Bennett have have, Karl's probably comin' out on Saturday august 26.

Then, the following weekend I believe one of today's featured artists is comin' to town.... Megan Palmer.

Keep checking back here, okay?

Hey! If you have anything to say about today's show... or, about anything else you hear on "ILTC", or if you are a singer/songwriter or a band and you want me to play your tracks on ILTC.... or, if you'd like to be invited as a guest artist... just call this number and leave me a message.

Cool?

If you're new here... welcome. Hang out at the website a little while. Take a look around. Listen to the Podcast. It's a pretty cool installment of "I Love the Company" today.

Listen, I'm also sorry I haven't gotten the new video of you guys up on the site yet. I'm gonna need a hand with that. I'm sittin' here yesterday lookin' at iMovie like a monkey holding a coconut. My head is just sooooo full these days. So, I'll see what we can do about that. Got some great shots of the "People on the Hill", Collen in the rowboat, Ken who's back from L.A.... as well as my musical guest, David Abbinanti.

ALSO, have you all gone to check out the MySpace page. And if you have... have you signed up as friends and contacts? I'm really exploring the whole MySpace thing to see if it's gonna be fun and worth the effort.

Let me know, okay?

Remember... THERE WILL BE A NEW SHOW ON "I LOVE THE COMPANY" TOMORROW AND EVERY DAY NEXT WEEK!!! So, subscribe by clicking on the iTunes button over there so you don't miss any of 'em.

If you've been comin' around for a while, thanks for always showing up... here and in the park. And if you're brand new here, take a look around. There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. And, you can go back and listen through a whole bunch of the previous Podcasts. Actually... you can go back and listen to all of them if you have the time.

You can also email me about anything you want by clicking on that "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But I promise I read every single one.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
