Yeah... cool!

The weekend's here!

Okay, so the weather isn't prefect for the final "Sunset Concert" down on Pier 45 at 7:00. But, I just got off the phone with Kristen Reick of Hudson River Park, and sunset or not... it's a go for tonight.

So, I'll see you down there. (Bring something kinda waterproof to sit on in case the grass is wet.)

Now, you're just gonna hafta check back about tomorrow in Central Park. Right now, the satellite imagery... um... ain't lookin' so swell. So, if it's a total washout on Saturday, I'll try to head out to "The Hill" on Sunday afternoon.

Cool?

In the meantime, right now... TODAY... click on this logo to listen to the latest installment of "I Love the Company". I've got the weeknd show here for you guys to download. Some really cool stuff on there today... and, a very first run at a brand new song I'm workin' on. Never heard before. )Actually, not even close to bein' finished. But, I figured, "What the hell! Let me see what you think of the idea!")

Anyway... click on this logo.

Or, download it to listen whenever and wherever you want.

This weekend's musical guests are: Goat, Laura Clapp and Colleen Jameson. (Click on each of their photos to visit their websites, find out about them and where to get their music.)

. .

If you have anything you wanna say, have anything you wanna say about that new song I'm writing, anything about anything at all... or if you're an artist who wants to say, "Hey" and let me know where you're playing, what you're playing and if you want me to play your stuff, (You following all this so far?) ...here's the phone number:

646-224-8162

Oh hey... I'm aware of the "volume level" situation on the Podcast. I'm gonna work on the problem over the weekend. Today's show is show number 97... so, maybe by show 100 next week I'll finally start gettin' the hang of this!

One mo' time! Here are a few shots from last weekend. (Click on the thumbnail for the larger image.)

. . . .
. . .

BTW... the sweet, sweet man in the last picture? That's my buddy Sid Bernstein. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The very man who changed the world and music forever by bringing the Beatles to America. (He hangs at "The Hill" in Central Park almost every week. Good, good friend.) Go ahead.... Google him. He's leading a remarkable life. Find his book and read it! It's callled "It's Sid Bernstein Calling".

Again, if you're new here... welcome. Hang out at the website a little while. Take a look around. Listen to the Podcast. It's a pretty cool installment of "I Love the Company" today.

ALSO, have you all gone to check out the MySpace page. And if you have... have you signed up as friends and contacts? I'm really exploring the whole MySpace thing to see if it's gonna be fun and worth the effort.

Let me know, okay?

Here's the link:

If you've been comin' around for a while, thanks for always showing up... here and in the park. And if you're brand new here, take a look around. There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. And, you can go back and listen through a whole bunch of the previous Podcasts. Actually... you can go back and listen to all of them if you have the time.

You can also email me about anything you want by clicking on that "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But I promise I read every single one.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
