Okay... the weekend's upon us! So, it's the weekend show on "I Love the Company". (It's a little further down the page. Click on the logo to download it.)

Before anything else... all I can say is, "Thank Goodness the war in Iraq is over!!!"

It must be! I watched the mainstream news media all day yesterday before and after I went up to Yankee Stadium, and I saw wall-to-wall coverage of a 10 year old murder case involving a little white girl. Must be a good sign that thousands and thousands of people aren't dying in Iraq, Bin Laden has been apprehended, the Middle East isn't spiralling into further darkness, and that George W. Bush's administration has not set the world on fire.

(Whew! Good news!)

I wonder if Wolf Blitzer and the rest have any idea how patently ridiculous and pathetic they look to people like me? (I'm sure they don't care.)

One of the silliest men in America

We'll deal with that on "I Love the Company" on another show. But, we will pay attention around here... even while we're enjoying Life and each other.)

(This is the show where I start out trying my best to cram as much music as possible into a half hour, then still wind up talking a little too much!)

But, before we get to that, here's the line-up for the weekend. It's the usual... typically great.

TODAY - Brand new show on "I Love the Company".

TONIGHT - I'll play the sun down on Pier 45 at the end of Christopher Street in The Village. It's the "Sunset Concert Series". We've got a few more of those left. If you're in the below 14th Street crowd, maybe I'll see you out there tonight.

TOMORROW - You hafta ask?

The weather's supposed to be great for hangin' out under a tree, or out in the Sun, diggin'
the city and the tunes, and the people and the smiles.
I'll start around 12:30 and play until I fall over.... or 6:00, whichever comes first.

SUNDAY - I wind up watching the morning news shows, yelling at the TV... then, shaking it off to go out and enjoy New York City for the rest of the day!

Anyway, click on this logo for the weekend installment of ILTC.

Or, download it to listen whenever and wherever you want.

And, if you wanna catch up on previous shows, they're all archived. Just check 'em out over there on the right.

Click on my guest's photos to visit their websites, find out about them and how to get their music.

. .

They are: David Abbinanti, Cassandra Kubinski and "Dodger" Bartlett.

Hey! If you have anything to say about today's show... or, about anything else you hear on "ILTC", or if you are a singer/songwriter or a band and you want me to play your tracks on ILTC.... or, if you'd like to be invited as a guest artist... just call this number and leave me a message.

Cool?

If you're new here... welcome. Hang out at the website a little while. Take a look around. Listen to the Podcast. It's a pretty cool installment of "I Love the Company" today.

ALSO, have you all gone to check out the MySpace page. And if you have... have you signed up as friends and contacts? I'm really exploring the whole MySpace thing to see if it's gonna be fun and worth the effort.

Let me know, okay?

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
