Holy smokes!

One day after another just gets away from me ! I really tried to get it all in... a new "ILTC" for the weekend, the Friday night "Sunset Concert", two days in Central Park, plus a new "I Love the Company" for today and yesterday.

But, man! Sorry. Something came up and yesterday I also hadda take a run at doing some promo spots for Earthlink. So, there just weren't enough hours.

Plus, to be honest, playing music for 6 and a half hours on Saturday, and then 5 hours on Sunday took a lot out of me!

Whew!

Today, I was watching the sky and the radar and the thermometer to see if I was also gonna play some music over at the "Free Kayaking Dock" in Riverside Park. My buddy, Dennis Riley, volunteers over there with a bunch of great people. It's a very cool New York thang to do. But, it's like a million degrees out there, and there are thunderstorms over the horizon in New Jersey.... and, I actually have two more promos and a Podcast to do before midnight tonight. (Yeah, today is kind of a work-day for me.) So, I'll see you guys Friday night at Pier 45 and this coming Saturday in Central Park.

Tonight, enjoy the fireworks thang if it doesn't get rained out, okay?

Um... listen. I'm gonna try to be back a little later with a brand new Podcast... a new installment of "I Love the Company". And, I'm gonna post a whole lotta photos from Central Park! If you were there for the hot dogs, we have plenty of pix of you that you can email to your frineds when you try to explain what went down that day. So, check back in a little while.

Very cool.

Right now, you can hear the show from Friday. (It's the weekend show.)

Click on this logo to listen.

Or, download it to listen whenever and wherever you want.

This weekend's musical guests are Cassie Kubinski, Karlus Trapp and Beth Thornley.

It's a fun show.

Click on each of these photos to hook up with today's musical guests. (Recognize Cassie? She sang a few tunes with me in Central Park on Saturday.)

. .

By the way, y'know? It's come to my attention that Adam Curry at The Daily Source Code discovered "Tom Cruise Scares Me". (Check out episode #414.) I think he'd really get a kick out of the "Cowbell" parody from last week's "Wednesday Wake-Up Call".) I'll be back this week to tell you more about DSC.

You can check in here all this week for a new "ILTC" . 'Cause by tomorrow we should be back on our regular schedule for sure. You can also subscribe on iTunes so you don't miss any of them. Tell a few friends about this website and the Podcast, too. You also might wanna check out some of the video that James Marino has been shooting on Saturdays in Central Park.

If you've been comin' around for a while, thanks for always showing up... here and in the park.

And if you're brand new here, take a look around. There's a lot of cool stuff on this site. And, you can go back and listen through a whole bunch of the previous Podcasts. Actually... you can go back and listen to all of them if you have the time.

You can also email me about anything you want by clicking on that "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But I promise I read every single one.

Okay, gotta get goin'.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
