Wow! Thanks so much for just another AMAZING day in my life as "That Guitar Man from Central Park"!

Man! I'm tellin' you... YOU GOTTA CHECK THIS WEBSITE EVERY DAY. SO MUCH COOL STUFF GOIN' ON! Bookmark this page right now.

What can I say!? Memorial Weekend Saturday... thanks to all of you who came out there yesterday! If you weren't there, you missed a very special day. First of all, Cassie Kubinski came out and sang with me. That was GREAT! Then, I introduced you all to the new song "Tom Cruise Scares Me". But, then the unexpected happened again.

(Thanks to James Marino for shooting and posting this video clip. I'll be able to explain what happened a little better.)

YEAH, I was playing music and hangin' with all of you... when a couple came around and told me that they had just gotten married near the Ladies Pavillion on Hernshead behind me. The lovely bride said she wanted to tell me that as they were exchanging vows, they could hear me playing a pretty song in the background. (I forget which song.) But, then as they finished the ceremony the first song they heard me play was "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi. Cracked me up. So, then I asked them exactly how long they had been married... what... 10 minutes? She said, "No, about 15."

So, I asked them if they wanted share their first dance right there at "The Hill".

Damn! I love this town!!!

I played... they danced... we all loved it.

Click on the picture to see a short video (about 10MB) of it. (Give it a moment to load.)

Man!

What a great day yesterday! (Hey! Wherever you are this weekend, I hope you're having a blast.)

.

Like I said, Cassie Kubinski came out and sang a few songs with me. She will be back.

TODAY I'm heading out to Long Island. (Or, the place I like to call Satan's Little Theme Park. David Abramowitz, the man who produced my very first CD (The People on the Hill) is havin' a party to celebrate his son's engagement. So, I'm on my way out there to do a free gig and have a little fun. Maybe I'll run TOM CRUISE SCARES ME on those nice people... see how it lands.

Um... by the way, if you wanna hear that song right now, it's on this weekend's show. (ILTC) Click on this logo to hear it, or downoad the enitre show to your mp3 player and take me to the beach with you!

This weekend's musical guests are Laura Clapp and Karlus Trapp.

(Ha! Clapp-Trapp!)

TOMORROW!

Monday evening! (7 to 9:00)

If you didn't leave town this weekend, or if you get back to town a little early and you want a really cool and fun way to close out the weekend... I'm sitting in at the SGA Songwriters Circle again. (I'll let you know a little bit more about that tomorrow.) But, just a heads-up. If you're not doing anything tomorrow night... head down to Bleecker Street in the Village. It's always a really good time and... it's FREE.

Good way to end the long weekend before you gotta go back to work. Plan on it, now. Bring a few friends!

Hope I see you all soon.

Remember... there will be a new "I Love the Company" every day this week. So, stop in and give it a listen, and tell at least one friend about it.

Cool?

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
