I'm back in town.

Hey!

If you didn't leave town this weekend, or of you get back to town early and are lookin' for a fun (and FREE) way to close out a great Memorial Day Weekend...

I'm gonna be sitting in at the SGA Songwriters Circle later today. (This evening between 7:00 and 9:00) It's a very cool thing, one of those little New York Secrets I'm often talkin' about.

.

George Wurzbach, the guy who wrote "Much Better View of the Moon" and so many other great songs, and David Abbinanti who you've all heard on ILTC (The Podcast "I Love the Comany") are both gonna be in the circle as well. (I love sharing a stage with guys like this.)

And like I said, it's FREE. Just show up a little before 7:00 to get a good seat.

The Red Lion is at the corner of Bleecker and Thompson in the Village.

But, again... I gotta say TTHANKS! Memorial Weekend Saturday... thanks to all of you who came out to Central Park! If you weren't there, you missed a very special day. First of all, Cassie Kubinski came out and sang with me. That was GREAT! Then, I introduced you all to the new song "Tom Cruise Scares Me". But, then the unexpected happened again.

(Thanks to James Marino for shooting and posting this next video clip. I'll be able to explain what happened a little better.)

YEAH, I was playing music and hangin' with all of you... when a couple came around and told me that they had just gotten married near the Ladies Pavillion on Hernshead behind me. The lovely bride said she wanted to tell me that as they were exchanging vows, they could hear me playing a pretty song in the background. (I forget which song.) But, then as they finished the ceremony the first song they heard me play was "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi. Cracked me up. So, then I asked them exactly how long they had been married... what... 10 minutes? She said, "No, about 15."

So, I asked them if they wanted share their first dance right there at "The Hill".

Damn! I love this town!!!

I played... they danced... we all loved it.

Click on the picture to see a short video (about 10MB) of it. (Give it a moment to load.)

Man!

By the way, you can still hear this weekend's version of "I Love the Company" right now by clicking on this logo...

This show features the new song TOM CRUISE SCARES ME as well as the music of Laura Clapp and Karlus Trapp.

(Ha! Clapp-Trapp!)

Click on their photos to visit their respective websites and find out how to buy their music.

.

THERE WILL BE AN ALL NEW "ILTC" TOMORROW MORNING!!!

And a new show every day this week. (Check back in every day, okay?)

And of course, this Wednesday, another installment of "The Wednesday Wake-Up Call". If you're new here take a look around. Hit the "Archive" button and see what this is all about. And as always, if you wanna email me about anything at all, just hit the "Contact" button. I can't answer all the email I get these days. But, I promise I read every single one.

Okay... I gotta get going. Hope you're having a great weekend and I hope I see you at The Red Lion tonight to close it out togther.

Check in at this website every day this week. There will be new video and alotta really cool stuff comin' up.

Thanks for a great weekend.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
