Hey! Welcome to the website!
Um... SATURDAY'S EMAIL!
SATURDAY'S MESSAGE!
IT WAS AN APRIL FOOL'S JOKE!
There is no place I'd rather be on a warm Saturday afternoon than with all of you on "The Hill" in Central Park.

Every day is a day when I'd love to be sharing music and laughs with you guys. But, the seasonal fence is up to protect the grass around "The Hill". As soon as that comes down, you bet I'm hoping to be out there for the 15th summer with all of you.
I am running into a little problem right now with the permit office at the Parks Department over the permit applications I put in this past February. Y'see, in 2000 we cut back from two days to one day a weekend. Last year, we changed the day from Sunday to Saturday. I'm not sure what's going on right now. But, I've got my fingers crossed that it's just a little bureaucratic snag and nothing to worry about.
I'm also hoping that, if a mean-spirited someone is working behind the scenes to cause problems for all of us, that some of you guys will rally and find me another place to do what we do on beautiful Summer afternoons.
I'm cool either way.
Oh! Here's exciting news! CHECK IN HERE ALL WEEK!
Please start checking in every morning!!!
We are launching the first Podcasts this week! Maybe as soon as tomorrow.

It will be called "I Love the Company"
We're gonna have a lot of fun with this. In case you're one of the millions of people who is confused by the whole concept of Podcasting, let me just explain it this way. It's like a little radio show that you can click on and either listen to while your sitting at your computer, or you can download and take with you in your mp3 player to listen to it whenever and wherever you want... in the park, walking down the street, on your way to work, or at work while the boss isn't looking!
Cool?
Episode #1 might... might be up tomorrow morning!
So, please start checking in every day. We're gonna want your feedback. You can register in the "Forum" (message board) over there and tell us what you think of the new artists that we introduce to all of you on the show. You can tell us the kinds of things you wanna hear. I envision that eventually the show will take over the daily updates, so that I'll update this page with new thoughts, free song downloads, original political cartoons and links to cool things like once or twice a week... and, then do the audio podcasts the rest of the time. (That'll cut down on my typing time, which will leave alot more time for music in my Life!)
And, once a week we'll take a video-camera out to one of the gigs in the parks and let all of you be a part of a video-cast. All of your friends and relatives all across the country and around the world can visit the website and share the experience with you. Gonna be very cool. Imagine being able to give a shout out to a friend in Seattle or Tokyo, just by telling them to visit this website! Me and the webmaster of this site (James Marino) are gonna make that happen.
It's the future of entertainment on the internet.
I'm gonna introduce all kinds of new artists... wonderful songwriters and singers that I truly admire. there will be nobody on the show that I am not a fan of in one way or another. Actors, authors, singers, painters, journalists. And, each audio-cast will also have an "in-the-news" segment, where I'll talk about things the mainstream "News" media gratuitously ignore... items that only show up on C-Span and the places serious-minded people of reason and care find them. Actually, most people just don;t haave the time to search for Truth and reason these days... and thhey're generally being handed a bunch of fluff andf crap in the news. So, we'll address those areas, too.
But, the main thrust of the show will of course be music and smiles.
Okay... I might update this page again in a ittle bit. But, I gotta get to work right now on Episode #1.
By the way... EVERYBODY should have heard retired General Tony Zinni on Meet the Press Sunday morning.
If you missed his interview, click here and download it for yourself. Gen. Tony Zinni (Ret.), the former Commander of U.S. Central Command, has written a new book: "The Battle for Peace: A Frontline Vision of America's Power and Purpose." He calls the war in Iraq "ill-conceived" with "no end in sight" and outlines his strategy for "repairing America's international relations and Washington's response to domestic and foreign crises." "Meet the Press" has the exclusive first interview.
Seriously... it's important. He cuts through the political crap and tells you the Truth about Iraq and the Bush administration. I don't care if your a Republican or a Democrat, a Liberal or a Conservative... he gives it to you straight.
Click in the image to go to the MSNBC site.

Oh, and John McCain was the first guest. So just fast-forward past him. He's full of the same ol' political crap as always. If you can't figure out how to hear the program, I'll ask James Marino to find a way to make it easy for you guys to listen to it here at the site this week.
Talk to you later. Hope I see you in the park very soon.
Thanks again.
