Welcome to the website.

Well... I guess I'll feel better when I actually have them in my hands. But, I just got a wonderful phone call from the Parks Department concerning the permits for this year. Looks like it's gonna be cool for all of us to head out to "The Hill" for another summer of warm afternoons, music and laughs.

It looks like, after a little confusion, everything is a "Go".

Very cool.

Um... hey! Mr. Sid Bernstein, my good friend and regular visitor to "The Hill".

Sid & Paul in 1991

Yeah, the man who among so many other incredible things brought The Beatles to America and changed music history. Well, I have a late-night voicemail message that he left for me on the show today... on "I Love the Comany". You're gonna wanna hear it, too.

Just click on this logo for the new show.

Give the show a listen, okay? Got a great summertime song by Karlus Trapp in this installment of the show, and a George Wurzbach classic called "FBI".

Y'know, Sid has kinda become the grandfather I never really had. What a sweet, sweet man! And, I haven't met too many people on this earth who both love music and the people who make it more than Sid.

Anyway, listen to "I Love the Company" today. Sid called me on the phone and left a message as he does several times a week. But, this time he asked me a question with such heartfelt concern and genuine passion that I hadda pass it on.

OH HEY!

Y'know, this is the the FIFTEENTH SUMMER in Central Park. And to celebrate the kickoff, I'm gonna do a very special ONE-TIME show at the legendary club, Birdland.

If you feel like coming to help me commemorate all the wonderful summers we've shared together (sniff) there are lots of tickets still available. It's a little more swanky than most of the places I've played. But, what the hell! Get a little dressed up if you feel like it! I'll probably hafta wear a shirt. (No shoes!) Dinner or drinks and a look back at all the music that's come my way in Central Park is gonna be a helluva a one-time event.

Anyway... it's on MAY 1 at 7:00 (That's a monday night.) Gonna be a sweet way for all the "People on the Hill" to say goodbye to the winter and hello to another season in the park.

Y'think?

THE ANNIVERSARY/SUMMER KICKOFF GIG at Birdland.

To make reservations, just cick on this logo and visit the Birdland site.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
