Well... OKAY!!!

The first show (Podcast) is here. It's in the can! It's on the web! It's in this update! It's... it's...

Okay, first things first.

Hey.

Welcome to the website. I don't know if you've been checking in here lately. The past couple of days the traffic on this site has practically doubled. I also don't know if it's because of that dumb April Fool's joke I pulled the other day, or the fact that the weather is getting nicer and thousands of us are chompin' at the bit to get out to Central Park again...

...or, because this is the day when we're making the first Podcast available for FREE download.

Yeah. Now, this is EPISODE ONE: "I Love the Company"

YOU'LL BE DOING ME A REAL FAVOR IF YOU GET AT LEAST ONE OTHER PERSON TO VISIT THIS WEBSITE TODAY, OKAY? Ask them to listen to the show and let you know what they think, too! I really want all of you to feel like a part of this thing.

For those of you who are a little confused and bewildered by the whole podcasting thing...

Don't worry. It's kinda new. But, it's really gonna be fun.

Just think of it as a little half hour radio show here on the internet, okay? A place you can stop by every single day to lighten up a little. AND, TODAY IS THE DAY.... THE FIRST SHOW!

If you wanna hear the first show right this minute... just turn on your speakers (Or plug in your headphones, if you're at work!) and...

Click on this logo!

(If you wanna download it to your computer so you can listen to it later or load it into your ipod, just right-click or save it to your disk.)

Cool?

THEN.... after you listen to the show every day, register in the "Forum" (message board) over there, and tell me what you think of the show. Seriously, let me know what you wanna hear, what you think of the music I'm playing on the show... of the guests I have on when we do an interview. Submit a new "Joke of the Day" for me to read.... actually let me hear any comments you have. Let me know if there's anything you wanna say. Even if it's just to say "Hey" to a friend or a relative in a different part of the country or a different part of the world.

But, here's the thing.

I'm gonna ask that you tell at least one or two other people to check it out as well.

Okay?

This is gonna be a helluva fun summer.

Oh man! Y'know... I just remembered. I hafta call over to the Permit Office at the Parks Department to make sure there are no more problems with the permit applications for every Saturday afternoon this year. I spoke to Doug Blonsky, the Park Administrator, the other day and he assures me he thinks everything's cool.

Okay, gotta get going.

But, seriously... listen to the show today. Pass the link on to a friend and ask them what they think. Then, let me know, okay? You can also email me by hitting the "Contact" button over there. I can't answer all email I get. But, I promise I eventually read every single one. I'll even start readin' some of them on the show.

Cool?

JUST CHECK IN EVERY DAY!!!

See you tomorrow.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
