Hey, welcome to the website. Thanks for stopping by today.

Okay... I know it's early. But, the weather is lookin' good for this coming weekend. Now, the Parks Department just has to take down that damned fence and we'll be all set to start another year in Central Park.

Couple of really cool things goin' on today.

FIRST of all, I am gonna be sittin' in at the SGA Songwriter's Circle. Yeah, believe it or not... it's at the Red Lion, the place I used to play soooooo many years ago.

In the Village, at Bleecker and Thompson, I get to share the stage tonight with a few really wonderful songwriters. We often laugh as much as we sing and play. It's very cool. And, it's FREE. The circle goes from 7:00 to 9:00.

But... MAN!

Check out today's show... today's Podcast... "I Love the Company"

(Click on this logo to listen or download the show to your computer.)

It's kind of a special edition of the show. I kinda ran into an old friend and colleague on the internet. (He doesn't know it yet.) But, the world is getting pretty small, all right! Very cool.

His name is Paul Hipp and he recorded a track that is a kick! I'm not gonna tell you about it here. I'm just gonna say, he got the thing done pretty damned fast! Give it a listen.

The other musical guests and partners in crime today are George Wurzbach and Sam Leopold.

I decided this morning to just let it rip. I had a lot of fun puttin' the show together.

Oh, hey... before I forget!!! Next Monday! I'm gonna be at Birdland. May 1st, from 7 to 9:00... it'll be a special, one-time, summer kickoff, look-back-at-14-years of "That Guitar Man from Central Park" gig.

Yeah, help me celebrate the start of my 15th summer with all of you. Click on this logo.

(You're not gonna wanna miss this thing. It's in two weeks!!! It's really not that big a place, so make reservations soon, okay?)

Here's the number: (212) 581-3080

Anyway... next Monday at 7:00.

Okay back to today. I'm feelin' good. Full of piss, vinegar ad purpose.

You too?

Check out the Podcast and then check in at the newly reconstructed "Forum" (message board) that webmaster James Marino fired up again. Get in the sandbox with the other kids and mix it up a little. It's cool.

Why did I do this special edition of "I Love the Comany" today!?

.

Why today?

.

.

Why would I play a collection of songs like I'm playing today?

.

.

Hmmmm.

.

.

.

.

Why the fuck not!!!

Y'see, I was thinking about September 11th... and it occurred to me that with just 50 more American deaths in this unrelated, unecessary and unAmerican war, the nightmare takes on even more Twilight Zonian dimensions!

I'll be back tomorrow with another show.

Maybe I'll see you at The Red Lion, or at Birdland next Monday night.. or, in Central Park this coming Saturday.

In the meantime, be cool to each other okay?

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
