Hey! Welcome to the website.
ONCE IN A HUNDRED YEARS!!!
Yeah, yeah... in my email I said 1000 years. But, I was wrong. Still....
TONIGHT!!!
Actually... very, very late tonight or very, very early tomorrow morning.
(This heads-up was sent to me by a friend from "The Hill"... a guy you've heard sing with me over the past few years, David Marcus.)
Tonight... well, on Wednesday at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 in the morning, the time and date will be...
(drum roll)
01:02:03 - 04/05/06
That won't happen again.
01-02-03-04-05-06
I know I'm like a little kid. But, I think that stuff is kinda cool. Okay... it'll happen again in another 100 years, but most of you guys won't be around. (I probably will be. I'm eating better these days.) I guess the next closest thing will be on June 7 in 2008 at 01:23:45
(Alright, too much time on my hands today.)
In case you're wondering, I'm actually still waiting to hear from the Parks Department about the schedule and the actual paperwork to go through for sharing warm Saturday afternoons in Central Park with all of you. I spoke with Park Administrator and President of the Central Park Conservancy, Doug Blonsky, about the issuing of he permits for Saturday afteroons. (There seemed to be a little bit of confusion over at the permit office.) I'm just hoping everything works out and I can announce very soon that we will be starting again for the 15th season in a row.

Oh... hey, I wanna thank all of you who emailed me immediately following my little April Fool's prank.
I have never before been called "jerk", "bastard" and "a real shit" with so much affection. Ha! Seriously... it was really very gratifying to get so many responses to a little joke.
Thanks... really.
Okay, I have an awful lotta work to do today. I'm gonna be all over town this morning. (If you see me out on the streets of Manhattan today, please say, "Hey!")
And, then this afternoon I'm gonna get back to the launch of our first Podcasts.

the show will be called "I Love the Company"
This is what I'm thinking... I'm gonna introduce all of you to at least one new artist a day. Eventually I'll have interviews with other singer/songwriters and interesting, cool people. Probably gonna have a "Joke of the Day", gonna have a segment where I read emails that you send in, and a segment called "Really-Oughta-Be-News"... y'know, to cover the important things that you just don't get in the hair-sprayed, corporately owned mainstream "news" media. It's gonna be fun.
If you're a little bit confused by the whole "Podcasting" thing, don't worry.

You're not alone.
Nobody really understands where it's all going. But, the potential is awesome and it is a big part of the future of entertainment on the internet. All you hafta know right now is that it's basically like a radio show on your computer that you can listen to or download and take with you in your mp3 player. That's all.
And, then once a week... we'll have a video camera out in Central Park, or down at Pier 54 in The Village, or over in Riverside Park, or at any of the venues I'm gonna be playing this year. If you're at the gig, chances are you will be part of the show. Y'see, we'll shoot video of you guys singing, maybe give some of you a chance to say "Hey" to friends and family in different parts of the country or different parts of the world, and then make the video available for the whole world to see here at thatguitarman.com the following Monday.
Very cool.
Um... just to catch you up... if you're new here, take a look around. Browse the "Archives". There are FREE songs to download, original political cartoons, all kindsa stuff. If you feel like emailing me, there is a "Contact" button right over there. (I can't answer all the email I get. But, I promise I read every single one.... eventually.) And, there is a "Forum" (message board) over there that the webmaster (James Marino) put here for you guys to register in and talk about whatever you want.
Things are changing sooooo fast.
Y'know... I have a lot of work to do today to begin getting ready for these big changes. So, I'm gonna cut this update a little short. (Actually, Podcasting oughta cut down on the "typing" part of these daily updates quite a bit. That will be a very cool thing for me!
So, here... here's a link to a FREE song and a couple of videos I wanna share with you today... just to give you an idea of the awesome potential of your computer and what's possible on the internet.
(Just click on the photo to hear "A different Cowboy's Lament" and download it for FREE.)

And, then... here.
Here are a couple of things that will demonstrate two different but kinda-related things. One will show you Dick Cheney being caught in a bald-faced lie... click on Dick's flaming behind!

And, this one shows you how much fun all different kinds of people can be when asked the same question. (Click on George Bush's illegal Spy Kit.)

.
.
Okay, have fun today.
Be cool to each other.
Thanks again.
