Hey, welcome to the website today.
Y'know what is very cool?
This whole new world on the internet, the part revolving around Podcasting. It's very cool.
Yeah, yeah... I know. What the hell is it and where is it all going? How can anyone make any sense out of it?
Well, it's really in it's infancy right now. But, when any new medium is in it's infancy, a few decades later people start caling it the "Golden Age of... Whatever".
Um, I'm getting ahead of myself. There are so many really cool things going on. And, y'know? Believe it or not, the weather will start warming up soon and before you know it we'll all be hangin' out in Central Park together.

Yesterday, I had one of the busiest days I've had in a while... running around town and also sitting at my computer recording stuff for the internet. One of my stops was down at the Hudson River Park Trust, meeting with Kristen and Chris to set up the "Sunset Concert Series" for this year. Here's something very cool.
We'll probably do it on Friday nights like last year. But, we might move it over one pier... one pier uptown to Pier 46. The reason is that "RiverFlicks" are gonna be shown on that pier this summer. And the thought is that everyone can gather for our "Sunset Concert", and then hang to watch some of the classic films they're gonna feature down by the river. (God, I love this town!)

I'll be lettin' you guys know as soon as I know how we're gonna do it down there. I'll also post a listing of the movies they're gonna show this year!
ALSO!
Got a call from out good friend Ed Grimm, and it sounds like the "Storyteller's Hill" was cool with Park Administrator K.C. Sahl and is gonna happen again on Sunday afternoons, down by th river in Riverside Park. We're gonna be makin' alot of music this summer!
Just finishing up a new song, "It's All About the Heart". Gonna lay it down tomorrow or over the weekend.
I'm also working really hard to get the Podcasts up and running. Got a lot of learning to do... the kind of stuff I never really enjoyed in the past... y'know, technical stuff. That's why it's really great to have a friend and computer genius like James Marino running this website. But, I'm actually enjoying the process of learning my way around this particular technology.
It's just another thing that's gonna be very cool. And, like I say, if you're new here or reading this in a different part of the country or a different part of the world, this summer this website is gonna be even more fun to visit every day. Free music to download, interviews, Video Podcasts, a radio show that you can download and take with you, original cartoons, Photoshop stuff, links to other cool websites. There's a lot of fun stuff right now in the "Archives". Go take a look.
Um... okay, okay, okay. About the Podcasts.
If you're a little bit confused by the whole "Podcasting" thing, don't worry. You're really, really not alone.
Nobody really understands where it's all going. But, the potential is awesome and it is a big part of the future of entertainment on the internet. All you hafta know right now is that it's basically like a radio show on your computer that you can listen to or download and take with you in your mp3 player. That's all.
And, then once a week... we'll have a video camera out in Central Park, or down at Pier 45 in The Village, or over in Riverside Park, or at any of the venues I'm gonna be playing this year. If you're at the gig, chances are you will be part of the show. Y'see, we'll shoot video of you guys singing, maybe give some of you a chance to say "Hey" to friends and family in different parts of the country or different parts of the world, and then make the video available for the whole world to see here at thatguitarman.com the following Monday.
Mark this page and stop back every day okay?
Oh, oh, oh... this bears repeating!
In yesterday's update, I posted the words of George W. Bush at his recent press conference. People can say whatever they want about me... (and, they do.) But, in case you were wondering, those were simply his words. Not a report. Not an opninion of mine. Just a transcript of the exchange between Helen Thomas and Bush. (I saw that press conference with my own eyes while most of you are at work. THAT'S why I post stuff like that. It's important for people to know, to see... to understand. Here's a small part of it. For the whole exchange, go to yesterday's update.)

Bush: But we realized on September the 11th, 2001, that killers could destroy innocent life. And I'm never going to forget it. And I'm never going to forget the vow I made to the American people that we will do everything in our power to protect our people. Part of that meant to make sure that we didn't allow people to provide safe haven to an enemy. And that's why I went into Iraq -- hold on for a second --
Q: They (Iraq) didn't do anything to you, or to our country.
BUSH: Look -- excuse me for a second, please. Excuse me for a second. THEY DID. The Taliban provided safe haven for al Qaeda. That's where al Qaeda trained --
Q: I'm talking about Iraq --
BUSH: Helen, excuse me. That's where -- Afghanistan provided safe haven for al Qaeda. That's where they trained. That's where they plotted. That's where they planned the attacks that killed thousands of innocent Americans.
I also saw a threat in Iraq. I was hoping to solve this problem diplomatically. That's why I went to the Security Council; that's why it was important to pass 1441, which was unanimously passed. And the world said, disarm, disclose, or face serious consequences --
Q: -- go to war --
