Hey... thanks for stopping by the ol' website today.

I got an email message from the webmaster of this site, James Marino, linking me to an article about a coyote who was tearin' all around Central Park yesterday.

I guess that's "news" when a coyote visits "The Hill". I mean, all kinds of celebrities stop by every year. If you've ever hung out there, you know what I'm talkin' about. But, I really wish I could have gone out to the park and met Coyote yesterday. That would have been a bigger thrill than last year when this guy stopped by.

Remember?

If you were there you remember... Roadrunner, as it turns out was a big pain in the ass. A real Iron Maiden fan and kept asking for me to play more "metal".

Anyway, won't be long until we're all out there sharing music and a few laughs.

If you are reading this in a different part of the country or a different part of the world... welcome. If you are stopping by here after a heads-up from one of the many Podcasts out there playing my stuff, take a look around, okay? There's a lotta cool stuff in the "Archives". And, there is a "Forum" (message board) over there on the right for you guys to hang out in, tallk about whatever you want. (Most of the people in there are very cool. Gotta say, though... it cracks me up when people use my own message to say rotten things about me and my music, especially the stuff that is bullshit. But... y'know? I guess, that's life. There are all types out there! It's okay. I don't visit the "Forum" often... but when I do, the negative things I've read in there are simply unadulterated nonsense that are not worth anyone's time or attention. Most intelligent people know that. (And, no one has mentioned the triple-murder in Connecticut... so, everything's cool.)

I've always said, "In my experience, a message board can be a really cool thing, or it can become an incubator for weirdness."

Ha!

'nough said.

So, what's happenin' today!

Well, we're getting ready for our own series of Podcasts. (If you're wondering what the hell a Podcast is, you're not alone. Go check out the shows over there on the right of this page. These are a few of the shows that are playing my tunes around the country and around the world.)

(I should probably stop talking about it so much until we get it going. But, I'm excited about the possibilities. I happen to be a "possibility junkie". Anyone who knows me well knows what I mean.) But... HERE'S THE THING!

My Podcast is gonna be in the same spirit as most of my gigs. I'm gonna introduce you all to other Podcasts by other people.... Podcasts that I think you guys should all be turned onto. Just like... the same way I love introducing you to guest artists at my gigs. I'm gonna try to book a different guest artist to join me in Central Park each weekend. And, I'm gonna be recommending other Podcasts on the internet by people I think are cool and deserving of a listen.

So... I'm already lining up the artists I want to come in for LIVE jams, songwriting sessions, interviews. We're gonna play a very cool mix of styles. I think I'm gona call it "Crazy on the Same Day". What d'you guys think it should be called?

Nobody really understands where it's all going. But, the potential is awesome and it is a big part of the future of entertainment on the internet. All you hafta know right now is that it's basically like a radio show on your computer that you can listen to or download and take with you in your mp3 player. That's all.

And, then once a week... we'll have a video camera out in Central Park, or down at Pier 45 in The Village, or over in Riverside Park, or at any of the venues I'm gonna be playing this year. If you're at the gig, chances are you will be part of the show. Y'see, we'll shoot video of you guys singing, maybe give some of you a chance to say "Hey" to friends and family in different parts of the country or different parts of the world, and then make the video available for the whole world to see here at thatguitarman.com the following Monday.

Very cool.

Oh, hey... in keeping with my intention to make sure this website stays as real and honest as possible, here's a repeat of a little tribute to the man in the Oval Office who is right now as we speak, breaking the law of the United States of America. Pass this original cartoon I did all around the internet like you did with a couple of my FREE songs. Just tell people where you got it, okay?

Where have all the true Americans gone? Where have all the statesman gone? At the very least there should be a complete investigation. But, his handlers actually told this arrogant lightweight to go on national television early one Saturday morning to admit his actions to "get ahead" of the story. So, at least there should be a special prosecutor and at most there should be articles of impeachment drawn up. And, there isn't one Democrat in Congress willing to stand up on their hind legs to say so.

(sigh)

Okay, I gotta get back to work. Lotsa song to write. Lotsa new cover tunes to bring out to "The Hill". (This year, gonna try to focus on some classic rock and classic folk.) And, I gotta dive into the Podcast stream.

If you feel like emailing me about anything, just hit the "Contact" button over there. I cannot answer all of the email I get. But, I promise I eventually read everyone.

Be cool to each other.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
