Here we go!

Looks like we might get the first significant snow fall of the year here in The Big Apple. Might miss us and go a little bit south of here. We'll see.

I actually love snow in this town.

Well... maybe one or two big snow falls. Then... I'm so ready for Spring I could explode.

But, y'know? I've said this before... there might not be a more romantic place on the face of the earth than Central Park in the snow.

Couple of years back... a couple of people from "The Hill" sent me this photo of a "Snow guitar Man" they made right in the place where I stand in the summer. (He's even got a little twig guitar and a stick for a mike stand.)

Very cool.

But, in the Spring we'll get out to the park again this summer for... holy shit... the 15th season! (That's either really very good news... or, really bad news for my career!)

Just kidding.

It's a really Good, Good thing.

.

.

Y'know? From this point on... just so you guys know... as an American singer/songwriter, I know it is my job to write love songs, and songs about the commonality of us all, and everyday feelings. But, it's also in the job description to write songs in the tradition of Woody Guthrie, and Pete Seeger, and Joni Mitchell, and Joan Baez, and Bob Dylan... and Neil Young, and Stephen Stills, and John Lennon and so many others.

I write what is on my mind and in my heart.

I do the same thing on this website.

So, just know (seriously) if it's not something you enjoy, if you are not someone who has an open mind... in other words, if you're someone who gets really pissed off at open expressions of reasoning and conscience...

...do yourself a real kindness and just take it down the road, okay?

For the rest of you, here's a repeat of yesterday's cartoon. Pass it around... have fun sharing it with all your friends. Just tell 'em where you got it, okay? (I worked hard on it all day on Thursday!)

Well... snow or no snow, if you live in the New York City area, I hope you make it over to The Cutting Room tomorrow night.

Once again, for the newcomcers... take a look around. Browse the "Archives" over there. Jump into the "Forum" (message board) and tell us where in the world you live, and talk about whatever you want with the people in there. If you wanna email me about anything at all, just hit the "Contact" button. (I can't answer all the email I get, but I promise that I reas every single one.)

For the rest of today... be cool to each other, okay?

See you tomorrow night.

Thanks for everything.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
