Hey, were you one of the people who braved the blizzard and made it to The Cutting Room last night?

What a great night for my friend, Sid!

Thank you.

Sid's got a really good, good friend named Joey Gargano, who put the night together with him. It was and evening toi celebrate the 42nd Anniversary of the first Beatles concert in the U.S.... the show that Sid Bernstein produced at Carnegie Hall in 1964. Y'know, yesterday the main act cancelled because fo the storm at the last minute. But, the rest of the artists on stage picked up the ball and ran with it... really well. I had a great time and made a few new friends. One of them, a musician.. a kickin' blues guitar player named Miles... well, I'm gonna introduce you guys to him here on the website in the next few days. And, hopefully he'll join me a few times when we start hangin' out in the park this Spring.

Also, a lovely woman named Kate Taylor. She has an open invitation to sing with me on "The Hill" this year.

Yeah, it feels like a loooong ways away... with record-setting 2 FEET of snow getting dumped on the Apple. But, it'll be here before you know it.

Here are a few snapshots of this town yesterday and today.

Yeah, snowman right in Times Square

Buried

More skiing... Times Square, Manhattan

And...

...I'm sorry. I hafta laugh. Remember Randy? Ralphie's little brother in "A Christmas Story"?

"I can't put my arms down!!!"

I look at that photo of that kid bundled up in that sled, as tight as a tick... and all I can think is, "That poor kid is in HELL at this moment!"

Hey listen... very late and very short update today.

I'll probably be back a little later. But, if you are NEW here... hit the "Archive" button and browse around. See what this is all about. Hit the "Story" button and hit the "Forum" (message board) if you feel like it and say "Hey!"

Oh, and hey... once again, "Thanks" to everyone who is helping out with the Permit Fund this year. I put all the appilcations in four days ago. Won't feel like it this weekend in this snow, but before you know it we'll be starting our 15th summer in Central Park. So, if you wanna be a part of it and help out by throwing a few dollars at the Permit Find, just click on the PayPal button or the other thing over there on the right. James Marino (webmaster) made it really easy for you guys to help out if you feel like it... but, ONLY if you feel like it.

Very cool.

Remember... I'd much rather have you there than your money.

Also... there are some FREE song downloads aand alot of fun things at this year-end update.

Oh yeah... but here's the latest cartoon I did for you guys.

I think this little piece of artwork needs no caption.

.

Comments?

But... I'M GONNA HAFTA GET OUT MY PEN AND PENCIL AGAIN TODAY OR TOMORROW NOW THAT DICK CHENEY HAS SHOT A MAN WHILE TRYING TO SHOOT AND KILL THE DREADED, VISCIOUS NORTH AMERICAN QUAIL.

Dick Cheney... what a man!

My only comment?

.

.

While tragic accidents happen... that little bird obviously hated freedom.

.

I'll see you guys later, okay?

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
