Hey! Welcome to the website. Thanks for stoppin' by today.
Sorry there was no update yesterday. I was really, really busy.
"Good" busy... but, really slammin' busy.
Y'know, the Voices Together Concert is a little more than 2 weeks away. Two weeks from tomorrow night, in fact. So, start spreadin' the word. It is one night you are reallly gonna wanna be a part of.
Now, yeah, I know that the music is basically FREE if you want it to be when we all get together and hang in Central Park all summer.

But, the purpose of this concert... well, sure... great music and some of the funniest people on the planet getting on a stage together. But, first and foremost, this gig is about helping the ordinary people, the men women and children... the children who are being hurt so horrifically every day in the war in Iraq.
Okay... it's a new day. I'll get back to the concert in a second. Listen, if you are new here... you can hit the "Archive" button right over there on the right of this page. Go take a look at what we've been up to around here for the past few weeks. You might have fun.
As always, let's take a quick look at what else has been going on this week.
Well, not much that you'll see on the American mainstream "news" media. It's been "What Makes Sammy Run" all week, 24-7. If you ask me, Samuel Alito's confirmation hearings pretty much went to according to script. Except for the moment when his wife got upset and walked out of he hearing room. Everybody speculated it was because she didn't like hearing people grill her husband about shaky organizations he might have belonged to, or his attitudes toward women and minorities.
I don't think that's what upset her.
I happen to know that right in the middle of the typical questioning, another tiny chunk of Ted Kennedy's nose actually fell off and hit the dais in front of him.

I think it just kinda freaked her out.
.
Anyway... moving on.
Back to the Voices Together Concert. If you haven't already, please click on this logo and visit the "Voices" Website.

At that site you will see a whole bunch of information about two groups of really remarkable people. Really good, good people wwho are making a difference in this world; a Staten Island woman named Elissa Montanti who started her own little organization called the Global Medical Relief Fund, and a group out of the midwest called LIFE... a group of people wwho have many friends and workers still on the ground in Iraq, getting very real, very direct help to those who are worst victims of the daily violence raging in Iraq.
Our concert on Saturday, January 28th at Symphony Space, here in New York, is to raise as much money as we can to give to these people so they can do their heroic work more just a little more easily. The theme of the concert is...
Ordinary people... helping ordinary people.
If you are an ordinary person like me, and you wannaa do something extraordinary, all you hafta do is show up and buy a ticket for this concert.... and, spread the word to at least ONE other person, okay?
Look, I know things are financially tough these days. HA! As an independent artist in New York City, nobody has to tell me that!
But, this is one event I think you are really gonna wanna be a part of.
These people need help...now... today. And, both our government and the Iraqi "government" are doing next-to-nothing to help them. And, y'know? Yeah... 2,212 Americans have died in the fighting.

But as horrible and heartbreaking as that is, believe it or not, it's the civilian people who are feeling the overwhelming brunt of this nightmare.
.

Help... okay?
You can make a difference. YOU can help.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS BUY TICKETS TO A GREAT CONCERT!
It's gonna be a night of smiles, purpose, laughter, some tears.... but mostly an evening of music. All you hafta do to be a real hero and maake a real difference for the better is buy tickets tickets. You can get tickets, right now... today... at the Peter Norton SYMPHONY SPACE website.
We also have a very limited number of VIP tickets available. But, if you want to order those and be invited to the reception after the show, you have to contact the Voices Together Group at:
