Well, let's see what's going on this week.
Welcome to the website.
It's so cool that people who've visited New York and have hung with me in Central Park still stop by here from all over the country and different parts of the world. If you're new here, take a minute one day to browse through the "Archives" over there on the right, and check out some of the fun stuff we've been up to. There are FREE song downloads and original cartoons and stuff.
Anyway, it's the middle of a New York City winter and we're a long way from "The Hill" in Central Park.

"The Hill" in the summer
But, I'm getting ready for a really special night of music comin' up in, like, 3 weeks. The Voices Together Concert. PLEASE.... keep your fingers crossed. We are hoping that a very special guest or two will decide to join us in this effort. Keep checking back. I'll let you guys know, okay? (More about the concert in a minute.)
First... let's see.
How do I go about letting our politicians in Washington know about the Global Medical Relief Fund, or the other group we're doing the Voices Together Concert for, LIFE? I mean, since Jack Abramoff jumped overboard holding onto the anchor, it's hysterical watching alot of them shovel huge amounts of money to charities. I just thought... maybe... hmmmm. Hey, maybe I should write them all letters from... the Street Musicians Health Insurance Fund! Or, the National Open Guitar Case Association. (Yeah, okay... I made those last two up. But, they're in such a hurry to unload the cash, they probably wouldn't care to notice.)

Okay. But, seriously...
We are about 3 weeks away from the Voices Together Concert on January 28th at Symphony Space in New York City.

What is this whole thing about?
Yeah, the kids are getting together in Washington to argue about a judge, and the American "news" media is looking for the next brush fire to report on... but, there is a war raging right on the other side of the planet. Today... every day. But in this particular war, the people who are mostly getting killed and horribly wounded are not military people. They are the civilians... ordinary people like you and me. And, they are being generally ignored by much of the media, our governement, and therefore, most of the American public.
That's why the theme of the Voices Together Concert is this...
Ordinary people.... helping ordinary people.
Please help us help some people who are doing extraordinary work to help some of these people... especially the children.
This is Elissa Montanti.

Elissa Montanti
She is an otherwise ordinary New York woman from Staten Island who is doing extraordinary things. She has made at least 4 trips to Iraq to get badly injured people here to the U.S. so they can get the medical treatment they so desperately need.
Y'know... the men, women and children who are stuck in the middle of that war are not suffering broken bones and gunshot wounds. Their lives are being torn apart by air strikes and bomb blasts.
.
Now, this concert is not going to be a morbid affair.
Because doing something Good and doing what you feel you're meant to be doing at any given moment... feels good. Making a difference, having a purpose, doing what we can in our own small way is going to create a wonderful feeling in that theater. Be a part of it.
This concert is meant to be a night of music, purpose, Love, laughter, a few tears... but, mostly... music.
Here are the artists who've lined up so far. (Click on each photo to visit their websites.)
