Hey, welcome to the website.

I don't know where in the country or where in the world you're reading this, but here in New York City, it's a crisp, clear, cold January day.

Y'know... the Voices Together Concert is this Saturday Night! I hope, if you're thinking about getting tickets and helping us to help the innocent civilians caught in the war in Iraq... I hope you stop thinkng about it soon, and go get 'em. Or, just get a bunch of friends together, make a night of it... just show up Saturday night!

Hey look! I'm a lucky man. I do 5 and 6 hour concerts in Central Park all summer. Everyone is free to sit on "The Hill" for a few minutes or a few hours, and it's free.... or, you can throw a buck if you feel like it. It's all very cool. I have found that, as much as I think money would be a lot of fun to have... it is completely irrelevant to happiness and a sense of well-being and purpose.

Music is free in Central Park if you want it to be.

But in this case, I'm gonna be a part of an amazing two and a half hour gig at Symphony Space here in New York City that promises to be an event you will always remember.... a night of music, Love, purpose, laughter, maybe a few tears.... but, mostly a night of great music.

Seriously.

I'm writing this update today to people who are new here, or who are sitting on the fence about showing up.

Here's the lineup of artists who are gonna join me on stage in an amazing songwriter's circle at Symphony Space this Saturday night.

Click on the picture and you can vist each of their websites, too.

. . . .

They are... Christine Lavin, Karlus Trapp, Modern Man, Roger Bartlett, Sam Leopold... and me.

Look, I'm gonna be back in a little while to update this page again today.

But, for right this minute... be a hero.

Seriously.

Do something extraordinary with an otherwise ordinary day today. I promise it will feel great. And, knowing each of the artists who are a part of this concert, I can promise it's gonna be a really fun night.

Who will you be helping with the money from your ticket purchase?

You... me... my firends and colleagues.... a whole bunch of ordinary people are trying raise as much money as e can to help a woman named Elissa Montanti and a remarkable group of people called LIFE to get real and very direct help to...

..them.

.

.

.

No politics. No government. No celebrity hoo-ha. Just...

Ordinary people... helping ordinary people.

And... here's why else we are getting together at Symphony space in 5 days.

And, him.

.

Such sadness. Such heartache.

Such a need for us to do something.

Won't you please, please, please help. All you hafta do to make a real difference is show up at a fun concert.

.

.

Well... it's a start anyway.

Look, I know the music in Central Park is FREE all summer. I know the tickets for this concert might seem like a lot. But, every nickel of your money... ALL of the proceeds are going to the people who need help so badly.

I'll be back in a little bit.

But, in the meantime, you can get tickets, right now... today... at the Peter Norton SYMPHONY SPACE website.

We also have a very limited number of VIP tickets available. But, if you want to order those and be invited to the reception after the show, you have to contact the Voices Together Group at:

Get VIP Tickets

The VIP section will get all kinds of goodies, and the artists will all hang out at the reception after the gig.

Listen, I gotta get out there and get to work. If you feel like emailing me about the concert or anything at all, just click on the "Contact" button. I can't answer all the email I get. But, I promise I eventually read every single one.

See you at Symphony Space this weekend.

Thanks.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
