Well... the sun came up and so did this sign.
Yeah... I know it's selfish.
But, I'm just soooooo glad this strike didn't happen last Thursday night like they first threatened. The gig at Merkin Concert Hall would have been a much, much more intimate affair.... y'think?
Hey guys... email me and let me know what you think about the strike. Do you side with the greedy, secretive, smarmy MTA? Or, do you side with the inconsiderate, nasty TWU?
Let us know. Maybe we'll post some of your opinions here on the website.
(Then again... maybe we won't.)
I just think it's a shame that they decided to walk out at the Festivus time of year. THAT'S IT!!! THEY BOTH JUST MADE THE LIST!!! THE MTA AND THE TWU!!! It's time for the AIRING OF THE GRIEVANCES!!!
But, New Yorkers are very cool people, though... walking across the Brooklyn Bridge at sunrise today.

I live on the Upper Westside... up near Columbia University. I understand that the police aren't allowing any cars south of 96th Street unless they have at least 4 passengers with them. I'm thinkin' I'm gonna head down to the corner of 96th & Broadway and whore myself out for $5 a ride. I'll just offer to take a ride downtown a few blocks, jump out of the car.... run back up to 96th Street and do it again. I may be able to finally get that townhouse.
I hope the whole thing doesn't get outta hand.

This is gonna be inetersting. I mean, a strike the week before Christmas?
Pretty harsh.
Listen... on a much, much more serious note.
I need all of you who are sitting in front of your computers working at home today to take a few minutes and go to this website....the Voices Together Website. (Just click on this logo, okay?)

While we're dealing with a transit strike, right around the other side of the planet another group of ordinary people are dealing with a war... a real war... in which hundreds of thousands of those ordinary civilians have had their lives torn apart, many who have been have been horribly wounded.
So, here on this website I'm gonna start an all out blitz to sell every single seat in Symphony Space on January 28th to people with open hearts and minds... people who really wanna help make a difference for the better in this world.
I'll be back a little later to update this site again.
But, I can tell you this...
Now that the '05 "Year-End Concert" is a memory, it's time for me to get to work full-time on the lineup of artists for the Voices Together Concert.
This is gonna be very, very special event and you will wanna be a part of it.... I promise.
Got to the Voices website right now, okay?
I will see you guys again a little later.
Thanks for a great year.
Thanks for everything.
