Holy smokes. Do you believe it!?

The "Year-End Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall is just 2 weeks from tonight. (Well, more about that later.)

Anyway, it's another weekend... and, I still get a feeling like I wanna head to Central Park for an outdoor concert.

"The Hill" in Central Park"

Y'know, I don't how I'm gonna get through the holiday season now... now... now that there isn't gonna be a "Nick & Jessica Christmas Special" on TV. What am I supposed to do!? I mean, it's just one of those real holiday traditions I thought would always be there, y'know? Y'never expect a marriage like that to break up, do you? Always kind of a shock.

So, I'm thinkin'... just to be a really nice guy, maybe I oughta ask Jessica if she'd like to sing at Merkin Hall in December. Just a thought. For her sake... of course. Cheer the poor thing up a little.

Hey listen, I've been getting emails requesting a new political cartoon. I haven't had a chance to sit down and put pen & pencil to paper this week. But, I will try to get one on this homepage in the coming week. If you wanna print out any of the recent cartoons, just click on the "Archive" button over there. All of th cartoons and Photoshop things are still here on the site.

And today... if you're new here, you can download a couple songs for FREE again. Click on the titles and they're yours. They're called, "A different Cowboy's Lament" and "JesusLand".

Pass them around to all your friends, too. But, tell them where you got 'em, okay? ("JesusLand" has actually made a couple of laps around the country and been sent to several different countries already. Kinda cool.)

TONIGHT... I'm playing a gig in Brooklyn. Very cool. It's at a great place in an artist's loft over there in Williamsburg. I kinda dig playing to a slightly different crowd around town. This oughta be cool. Tell you about it tomorrow.

Okay... about "Year-End Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall.

This year we made a couple of changes. For one thing, it's on a Saturday night as opposed to Sunday last year. We also thought we'd lower the price of ALL the tickets to $20. (I'd rather play to a full house of great people than make a little extra money, that's for sure!)

So, Saturday night, December 17th... 8pm!

And more than ever, I think one of the theme of the night is gonna be you guys singin'... LOUD! And, I'm gonna have some really fun guests in the audience. 'S gonna be great.

Yeah, I wanna make this a "feel-good" night alll around. I think we all need it. I know I do!

So listen... the box office is closed today. But they are open again tomorrow (Sunday) and all week. So, take a little time today to call your friends. Round up a few and make plans to grab some dinner in two weeks from tonight and come to the gig. Or, come to the gig and go out afterwards for a holiday drink. Make a night of it. All the information for getting tickets is right over there on the right. You can also get your tickets "online" if you want.

Hope I see you there. I checked with Merkin this past week and there are plenty of really good seats left. So, jump all over it.

I gotta get goin'. Got some stuff to do today.

Oh yeah, if you wanna email me about anything at all, just click on that "Contact" button over there, okay? (I can't answer all the emails I get. But, I try... and I promise I read every single one.)

See you soon.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
