Man! This is the Indian Summer we've been hoping for. Listen, I know many of you are reading this in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. But here in New York, man! This November weather is amazing. But... timing is everything. The NYC Marathon is being run this weekend and nearly the entire west side of Central Park is shut down for aid station set-up, crowd preparations and security. So, I won't be able to hang out with you at "The Hill" this weekend.

But, maybe we can arrange to hang at "The Storyteller's Hill" over in Riverside Park for a few hours on Saturday. I'll contact Park administrator, KC Sahl, and find out if that's cool. Check back here and I'll let you know, okay?

Um... also, I'm probably gonna draw a new cartoon for tomorrow. But, you can still make up a caption or title for this one over in the "Forum" (message board) over there.

Yeah, Dick Cheney's "scooter", his Chief of Staff and right-hand man, got himself arraigned today for lying repeatedly to a Federal prosecutor... for perjury and obstruction of justice. What a stand-up bunch of feel-good Americans we've got down there in Washington, hah?

(sigh)

By the way... judging by the email I've received about yesterday's "look-alikes", this was the favorite.

Hey, by the way... the "Year-End Holiday Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall is on Saturday night, December 17th. That's only about 6 weeks away! If you've ever been to one of these, you know what a great way it is to kick the year in the ass as it heads out the door.

You can get tickets today if you want. There are only 450 seats in Merkin Hall and we have sold it out several times in the past. So, seriously think about getting a bunch of friends together and joining us for this concert.

Box Office Hours:

Fridays: 12-3pm

It's just us!

Okay, so listen. Today I've gotta record a rough demo of a new song I just wrote, a ridiculous tune about a cowboy who... well, maybe I'll run it by you guys this weekend. I've also got a lot of work to do for the VOICES TOGETHER concert in January. But, I will also try to find out about an afternoon of outdoor music this weekend, okay?

Oh... but, please visit the VOICES TOGETHER website today and find out about this extremely worthwhile event to help the civilians, especially the children, whose lives are being torn apart by the war in Iraq. It'll be at Symphony Space early next year. Find out how you can help... even how you can be a real part of making the concert happen. Just click on this logo...

Actually, you can get tickets for this event right now, too... today, by going to the Peter Norton SYMPHONY SPACE website.

BUT! We also have a very limited number of VIP tickets available. But, if you want to order those and be invited to the reception after the show, you have to contact the Voices Together Group at:

Get VIP Tickets

The VIP section will get all kinds of goodies, and the artists will all hang out at the reception after the gig.

If you wanna help in another really extraordinary way, you can make a donation, right online, and become one of the "producers" of this concert. Really! You will be a concert producer! It's gonna be a special event that you are really gonna feel great being a part of.

To find out more about the reason for this concert, visit the Global Medical Relief Fund website. Then click here to find out more about LIFE... two great groups of people who are helping the injured civilians in this nightmare fo a war in Iraq.

Thanks for everything.

Maybe I'll see you this weekend.

Thanks again.

All outdoor events are weather permitting! Stop by the website before you go if it is questionable.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
