Hey... thanks so much for stopping by the website today.

Okay let me start off telling you about this weekend. The running of the New York City Marathon takes place in Central Park on Sunday, and all day Saturday "The Hill" is kinda off limits for set-up and security. So even though the weather is perfect, singing in Central Park is out.

But, I have some good news...

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insur... (Damn! I did it again! Sorry.)

No... I will be playing music at the "Storyteller's Hill" in Riverside Park tomorrow (Saturday). I figure I'll start about noon and play for as long as we feel like it, okay? I just heard from Park Administrator, KC Sahl (Really good guy), and he says even though it's late in the year, we're okay to hang out and do what we do. The crowd is always a little bit smaller than "The Hill" in Central Park. But, that makes it more intimate and I get to talk with you guys a little bit more.

Oh yeah, listen... I might be doing some kind of event on Sunday with Christine Lavin and a friend of hers. So, check back here and I will let you all know about it, okay? Seriously, I will update the page as soon as I know. (By the way, Christine has new album out called FOLK ZINGER and it's wonderful. Go to her website and check it out.) She will also be sharing the stage with me, George Wurzbach and Sam Leopold at the VOICES TOGETHER CONCERT in January. go to the VOICES TOGETHER WEBSITE to find out about that okay?

And, if you're new here at this website... welcome!

Y'know, there are people hitting this site now from all across the country and different parts of the world. Very cool! I'm still getting requests for the FREE single I've been giving away. (Quite a few from college radio stations) So, again... today, if you want a copy off the single "JesusLand" just click on this link.

Satire is Protected Speech (Even from those who don't get it!)

Have fun with it! Pass it around! It's free!

What else?

Oh yeah. Beieve it or not, the annual "Year-End Holiday Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall is only about 6 weeks away. So if you wanna get tickets for that one, just call the box office soon, okay?

Box office: 212-501-3330

Box Office Hours:
Sunday - Thursday: 12-7pm
Fridays: 12-3pm

There are only 450 seats in Merkin Hall and we have sold it out several times in the past. So, seriously think about getting a bunch of friends together and joining us for this concert. We always have a really good time that night.

It's just us!

That's about it for today. Check back in a little while and I'll let you know what kinda thing Christine is talkin' about for Sunday. And, maybe I'll see you in Riverside Park tomorrow. But, please visit the VOICES TOGETHER website today and find out about this extremely worthwhile event to help the civilians, especially the children, whose lives are being torn apart by the war in Iraq. It'll be at Symphony Space early next year. Find out how you can help... even how you can be a real part of making the concert happen. Just click on this logo...

Actually, you can get tickets for this event right now, too... today, by going to the Peter Norton SYMPHONY SPACE website.

BUT! We also have a very limited number of VIP tickets available. But, if you want to order those and be invited to the reception after the show, you have to contact the Voices Together Group at:

Get VIP Tickets

The VIP section will get all kinds of goodies, and the artists will all hang out at the reception after the gig.

Okay... cool. Gotta go. Got work to do.

(Damn! I love makin' music!)

Talk to you later.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
