Hey... welcome to the website!! Got a new cartoon for you all today! (But, that's further down the page.)

Miss you guys. Too cold for an "outdoor" concert in Central Park.

But... a question. Am I gonna see you at Merkin Concert Hall in a few weeks?

I'll be there. No excuse for you not to be. We lowered the price this year to give everybody a break! So, the tickets for ALL seats are only $20. Why don't you call a few friends today and make plans to be there, too. (December 17th) It's a Saturday Night! The tickets started selling pretty fast this past week. But, there are lots and lots of really good seats left. And, the best seats in the balcony are wide open. They're closed today, but you can call the box office tomorrow! (Sunday)

212-501-3330

OR... go ahead. Make a few calls today to a few friends, and you can get tickets "online" by clicking that button over there on the right.

I'm thinking that, besides some of the "Year-End Holiday" stuff we do, this year I'm gonna incorporate alot of the tunes from the lists that you guys are sending me about your favorite songs for the "Best of..." CD. Look, whatever we do, it's gonna be a great time as usual. Alot of singing... alot of laughing. "It's Just Us". Damn! This is like the 10th or 11th show we're doing at Merkin Hall. (And, we've sold out several in the past. So, get tickets soon, okay? There are only 450 seats in Merkin.)

Okay... now. Here's your new cartoon. I'm calling it:

"Who Knew My Pants Would Really Catch Fire?"

">

People are emailing me, suggesting I oughta start a new career as a political cartoonist. But, no thanks. I've worked far too long and hard to reach the level of poverty and obscurity I've attained as a singer/songwriter to change horses, now! (By the way, if you want a HUGE version to print out, suitable for framing or hanging in a cublicle... just click on the image.)

And, if you wanna go get any of the other cartoons I've done, or any of the Photoshop things, you can just hit the "Archives" button over there. They are all still here on various pages on this website. Maybe tomorrow I'll make a whole bunch of thumbnails of the most recent ones for you guys to have fun with.

And, speaking of things you can download for FREE... here are a couple of new songs that are not on any of the CDs. (The new cowboy tune is a really rough demo. But, I thought it would be fun for you guys to have just the same.)

Here... click on the titles and they're yours. They're called, "A different Cowboy's Lament" and "JesusLand".

Pass them all around to all of your friends, but tell 'em where you got them, okay?

Okay, I have a lot to do today. But, before I go I wanna ask you all again to click on this logo to visit this website. (It's kind of important.)

My friends and I... a bunch of ordinary people, refuse to ignore the carnage that is ravaging the Iraqi people... today... now... since the U.S. invasion.

So, we're doing a concert in late January to help... specifically and practically... help. Today, you might decide that you wanna help, too! Here's the lineup so far.

Christine Lavin
Roger Bartlett (My pal, "Dodger")
Sam Leopold
George Wurzbach

It's gonna really be somethin'.

Okay, listen... if you see me out on the winter streets of Manhattan today, give me a big, warm "Hey"!

Thanks again

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
