Hey, welcome to the website!
Well, I don't know in what part of the country or the world you're reading this, but here in New York City, winter finally got here. Probably not gonna get out of the 40s today and gonna get down around freezing tonight.
But, y'know what?
It was an a amazing summer.
Thanks.

It's just time to move it "indoors" for a while.
I've got a really interesting day, today. It's so cool, living the life I live, y'know? One day almost never resembles the day before.
Well, I got an email out-of-the-blue a few days ago from some people over at A&E. Turns out they're doing a corporate video, and part of it is set to a parody of Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues". So, someone on the creative team suggested they try to get "That Guitar Man from Central Park" to come into the studio and do it like Dylan. (Ha! They must've heard my song "Through My Nose".)
So, that's what I'm doin' today. Oughta be a blast.
Listen, today... would you guys keep those emails comin'? You can always email me about anything just by hitting that "Contact" button over there. But, this week I'm asking you for a huge favor.
Earlier this week I had a meeting yesterday with Chuck Oliner of Koch Entertainment/Koch Records. That company is interested in the possibility of putting out a "Best of..." album. Y'know, a collection of 12 or 14 of my songs. It would be for national distribution. Y'know... a CD of the songs you guys like best from the other 6 albums.
So, would you make a list of some of your favorite songs that I've written. (Yeah, the political and the funny songs count, too!) Make a list and email it to me directly through the "Contact" button on the right?
It would be a big help. I mean, I know which songs are my favorites. But, all of you are the better judges. So, thanks in advance for that.
(Just imagine a CD of my songs where you didn't hafta hit the skip button. That'll do it!)
Okay... in just a little over 4 weeks from now, we'll all be getting together in Merkin Concert Hall for our annual "Year-End Holiday Concert". Believe it or not, the tickets already started moving pretty fast this week. So, get on the phone to your friends today. It's not a religious kinda thing. It's not a political kinda evening. Seriously, it's just a good, good time. All the faces from the summer in Central Park... all that "It's Just Us" feeling... all in one hall. Very cool. Call a few friends today and make plans to be there. It's on a Saturday night this year!
Saturday, December 17th
8 PM
All the seats are back down to $20
(We lowered the price to give everybody a break. Besides, I love it when we sell-out that place like we've done so many times in the past.)
The webmaster of this site, James Marino, made it really easy for you guys to get tickets right now if you want. You can either call the box office... (They're open today) 212-501-3330
...or get tickets "online" right over there on the right!

Merkin Hall in December
Like I said, this year, it's on a Saturday night, December 17th. It's a great way to send the year out the door. And, this year... I have a feeling we could all use a night to just kick back, forget about alot of the mess in the world today, sing together, share a few stories and a whole bunch of music. If you've ever been to one of these things, you know what it feels like. The gig is only 4 weeks away and there are only 450 seats in Merkin. (We've sold it out several times in the past.) So, try to get your tickets sooner than later.
what else today?
Oh yeah... Ha! Got a couple of emails yesterday suggesting I might have another career as a political cartoonist. (I'm happy makin' music, thanks.) But, here are the most recent cartoons.
