Hey... sorry for the late update. Welcome to the website.

There are people hitting this site from different parts of the country and all around the world. Very cool. If you're new here, take a look through the "Archives" okay? See what we've been up to around here. And, if you wanna email me about anything at all... just hit that "Contact" button over there.

Well, what's goin' on today? I have to go back into the studio to finish up that voice-over gig for A&E where I hafta sound like Bob Dylan. (I mean, I'm not the greatest singer anyway.... but, this is the only gig I've ever had where I'm being paid to sound like I can't sing.)

Anyway, hey! Last night, gotta say it was pretty cool being a part of two little New York Secrets in one night... the SGA Songwriter's Circle at the Red Lion in the Village, and Jim Caruso's Cast Party at Birdland. Both were exceptionally fun last night. Ann Ruckert added a new young songwriter to the circle named Dave Abbinanti, and... what can I say? I'm a new fan. George Wurzbach and the other guys... I'm tellin' you. It's an honor to be asked to be on that stage every month.

After that, I shot up to Birdland for Cast Party and it was one of those nights that Jim and pianist Billy Stritch and bassist Steve Doyle were simply in a zone... where everything works. Just a genuinely fun and great night of music and laughs.

Y'know, at this time of year I really miss putting my guitar on my shoulder and heading out to Central Park for our usual outdoor concerts every weekend. A photographer named Sean Friedman emailed me a photo that really brings that feeling home, and makes me look forward to our concert at Merkin Concert Hall even more.

Here's "The Hill" on a typical summer day... and, "The Hill" last weekend!

So, TODAY! Before anything else. Call your friends and make plans right now, then call the box office and get your tickets for the annual gig at Merkin Concert Hall. The "Year-end Holiday Concert" is on a Saturday Night this year! And, we lowered the price to give everybody a break. (ALL seats are only $20 this year.) And, there isn't a bad seat in the house, 'cause there are only 450 seats in the whole theater!

Merkin Hall in December

If you've ever been to one of these things, you know what kind of a fun way it is to end the year with all the same faces you see on "The Hill" in Central Park. And, if you've got nothin' else goin' on, it's also really cool to come to one of these by yourself. Lotsa people do.

It's just us.

Anyway, hope to see you there. You can call the box office today...

(212) 501-3330
Box Office Hours:

Fridays: 12-3pm

Or, get tickets "online" by clicking on that thing over there on the right!

Okay, I'm getting alot of email requests for these silly things. So, before I'm outta here, I wanna give you chance to download those new cartoons I've done in the past few weeks. Click on the image for the larger version to print out.

. . . . . .

I call them, "Damned Scooter!" - "The Wheels Came Off" - "'At's My Boy!" - "Who Knew Pants Really Catch Fire?"

Have fun sending them around the internet. Just make sure you tell people where you got them, okay?

Okay... I gotta get to work. See you guys tomorrrow.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
