Hey... sorry about the late update. I was having a litttle fun with Photoshop again today. (More later.) But, welcome to the website. Especially if you're new here.

Yeah, I said it yesterday... the tickets are starting to move for the "Year-End Holiday Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall on December 17th. (That's less than 4 weeks away. So if you feel like it you can get tickets today, just by clicking on that thing over there on the right, or by calling the box office directly.

(212) 501-3330
Box Office Hours:
Sunday - Thursday: 12-7pm
Fridays: 12-3pm

Gonna be a great way to end this year. You can call the box office today if you want. And, remember... there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Some people actually request balcony seats every year, maybe because it's so close to the stage. (Maybe the party-people just dig the balcony! I don't know.) Anyway, hope I see you there. We'll do a lot of singing and probably just as much laughing. It's always a good time in that hall.

Merkin Hall in December

Okay. Photoshop.

Remember a while back I was having some fun with the separated at birth photos? I mean, with all the disheartening crap coming out of Washington DC in the past few years, it helps me keep my sanity to look at these people from a slightly different angle. So, I started noticing things like... well. Did you know that about half of the Republicans in the Senate go to the same barber as George Jetson? (As John Stewart says, "This is what happens when you don't let gay people touch your hair.")

But, I started noticing dopplegangers in our government. Like Senator Harry Reid and Mrs. Landingham from The West Wing? (I swear that's him in drag!)

.

Well, I was watching and listening to Dick Cheney spout more disingenuous, just plain evil crap the other day on C-Span... but, he was wearing a tux. And, y'know? Watching him and listening to that voice... (shudder) ... it hit me!

Damn!

Yeah...

Explains alot.

By the way, if you want to get the FREE downloads of a couple of the new songs, or any of the recent cartoons, just hit that "Archive" button over there. Everything is still here on the site... someplace. And, if you wanna get in touch with me for any reason, just hit the "Contact" button, okay?

Anyway, hey listen. Seriously, try to get your tickets to Merkin Hall this week. Call a bunch of friends and plan on hanging out with us a few Saturday nights from now. Make it a holiday party night. Or, come by yourself. Like I said, we lowered the price this year to give everyone a break. (ALL seats are only $20 this year!) And we moved it back to a Saturday night to make it easier to hang.

Okay, I gotta get to work. got a lot to do today.

But, as I always do now, I wanna invite you to go check out the VOICES TOGETHER website. Just click on this logo...

Any of you newcomers to this site can find out about this concert that we're doing' at Symphony Space here in New York City on January 28th.... what we're doing and why we're doing it.

We... my friends and I... a bunch of ordinary people, refuse to ignore the carnage that is ravaging the Iraqi people... today... now... since the U.S. invasion. The ordinary people.. the civilians, especially the children.

We found a remarkable group of people with an organization called LIFE, who have people on the ground in Iraq... really getting desperately needed help those who need it most. And, there is a woman we've found named Elissa Montanti, an otherwise ordinary New York woman, who has made 4 trips into Iraq to get people and bring them here to the States for the medical help they cannot get in that war-torn part of the world. She is an angel... a true hero. We want to help her do the work she has chosen to do in any way we can. Therefore, VOICES TOGETHER Concert.

She has done amazing things already for so many... but, everyday there is much, much more to do.

And... she's in Iraq again... right now!!!

Dalal lost her leg in the fighting . . . . . . . . . . . Dalal sowing off her new leg with Elissa

She's got soooo much more to do. Please help us... help Elissa... help them.

You can get tickets for this event right now, today, by going to the Peter Norton SYMPHONY SPACE website.

BUT! We also have a very limited number of VIP tickets available. But, if you want to order those and be invited to the reception after the show, you have to contact the Voices Together Group at:

Get VIP Tickets

The VIP section will get all kinds of goodies, and the artists will all hang out at the reception after the gig.

If you wanna help in another really extraordinary way, you can make a donation, right online, and become one of the "producers" of this concert. Really! You will be a concert producer! It's gonna be a special event that you are really gonna feel great being a part of.

To find out more about the reason for this concert, visit the Global Medical Relief Fund website. Then click here to find out more about LIFE... two great groups of people who are helping the injured civilians in this nightmare fo a war in Iraq.

Thanks for everything.

Hope I see you soon.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
