Man! I had the coolest gig yesterday. My life gets a little weirder and more wonderful everyday. I got an email from a woman who had heard me sing my tune, "Through My Nose" over the summer. Yesterday she hired me to go into the studio for a corprorate video for A&E, where I hadda sound like Bob Dylan singing a parody of his "Subterranean Homesick Blues". I had a blast! The coolest thing was that about halfway through the gig, I realized it was the first time I was actually being paid to sound like I can't sing.

Very cool.

Okay today, gotta say... I know some of you are reading this in different parts of the country and different parts of the world, but as I'm writing this, it's 35 degrees here in New York City. So, yeah... the "outdoor" season is over for another year. But... THANK YOU for another amazing season of music.

Time to move it "indoors" for a while.

So, go... go click on that link over there on the right and get tickets to the "Year-End Holiday Concert" at Merkin concert Hall. It's only 4 weeks away from this Saturday!!!

By the way, I just got an email from a woman who is bringing a bunch of friends and asked if the seating in the balcony is cool. Y'know, there are plenty of seats left all over the room. But every year, a whole bunch of really fun people from Central Park fill up the balcony. So, if you're getting a whole bunch of friends together and you can't get seats in the orchestra, go for the balcony. There ain't a bad seat in Merkin Hall.

Merkin Hall in December

It'll be interesting that night to ask who in the audience is from what part of the city, or which summer concerts, y'know? I wonder if we'll get a good turnout from the downtown-below-14th-Street crowd who joined us on Pier 45 in the Village this year. Or, how many people will be showing up from the "Storyteller's Hill" in Riverside Park.

Everyone is, of course, y'know... "It's Just Us".

Um... the box office is open today between 12:00 and 3:00,and then again on Sunday. So, you can call them to get tickets if you don't wanna get 'em online.

Box Office Hours:
Sunday - Thursday: 12-7pm
Fridays: 12-3pm

Okay... moving on.

Oh listen, the emails have been pouring in with your lists of songs for the possible "Best of..." album. Keep 'em coming, okay? We are looking over every single list. It'll be interesting to see which tunes make it onto the CD. Just hit the "Contact" button over there. (Actually, you can hit that button if you wanna email me for any reason, okay?)

Now, FREE stuff.

I will probably have another cartoon for you this weekend. In the meantime, here are the last two I did. Pass 'em around the internet to your friends of you want. Just tell people where you got 'em, okay? Mr. cheney losing control of his "Scooter" and the wheels coming off George's wagon.

And the requests keep coming in for the new songs, "A different Cowboy's Lament" and "JesusLand".

Just click on those titles to get the songs for FREE.

That's about it for today. But as always I wanna ask you to visit the website fo the VOICES TOGETHER CCONCERT. We're doing it here in New York City on January 28th. Singer/songwriter Christine Lavin has agreed to join us for that one and it's ghonna be a very special and very worthwhile event. You are definitely gonna wanna be a part of it. So, click on this logo to find out all about it, okay?

My friends and I... a bunch of ordinary people, refuse to ignore the carnage that is ravaging the Iraqi people... today... now... since the U.S. invasion.

Here's the lineup so far.

Christine Lavin
Roger Bartlett (My pal, "Dodger")
Sam Leopold
George Wurzbach

It's gonna really be somethin'.

Okay, listen... if you see me out on the winter streets of Manhattan today, give me a big, warm "Hey"!

Thanks again

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
