Hey, what's goin' on today?
How're you feelin'?
Thanks for stopping by the website. And, if you live in New York City area or had a chance to hang out with me in Central Park this year... thanks for a great summer.

"The Hill" in Central Park
Y'know I say this all the time... and, then sometimes I do, and sometimes I don't. But, I'm gonna hafta come back a little later today and update this page again, okay? I have a meeting this morning with a wonderful group of like-minded people about something pretty important. So, I'll make this brief and then update this page again a little later.
Um... speaking of "like"... I sat in on a "hoot" last night with a bunch of musical kindred spirits in the back room of a place downtown callled Helen's Hideaway. What a blast!
Singer/songwqriter Christine Lavin invited me down to this thing, and then wasn't there for some reason. So, I thought I was gonna be sitting in a back room full of strangers. Well, it turned out I'd worked with a handful of them musically at one time or another over the years, on this project or that project... but, then, within two minutes, the feeling created by hosts David Lutken and Helen Russell in that room was such, that I suddenly was sitting in a room full of guitars, and banjos and mandolins and basses, and fiddles, a piano, an oud, a harmonica... and, a whole bunch of new friends.
And, as the night went on and the music, laughter and conversation flowed more than a few people told me that they had hung out with us on "the Hill".
Very cool.
Now, I promised several people there that if they came to the website, they could get a free copy of "JesusLand". So, all you new folks... here it is. Just click on this link...
Satire is Protected Speech (Even from those who don't get it!)
Have fun with it! Pass it around! It's free! Seriously. This song is making the rounds on the internet again. I'm getting wonderful email about it from all across the country and even in Europe.
I also get a tiny, tiny percentage of email from angry people who hate the song. But, I dont ever sweat it, 'cause that just means they either truly don't "get it"... or... Ha! It's about them! (Oh by the way... I am NOT a religious man in any way. But a word to you right wing Catholics out there who've been emailing me, telling me to shut up about the war? Y'know, turns out your Pope knows the war in Iraq is wrong, too. Just in case, y'know, you weren't aware of it. Why doncha email him as well, and tell him how he should stick to God-stuff and shut up. Just a thought.)
Anyway, listen... I really gotta run right now. But, I'll be back later.
