I'm back.

Got in last night. Hadda beat that traffic heading back to town. I was at one of my sister's homes for Thanksgiving dinner, way the hell up by Lake Ontario. Great time. Good to be back.

Y'know, I love this city 365 days a year. But, this is what I call the "When-Harry-Met-Sally-Time-of-Year". I guess the tree at Rockefeller Center gets lit up this week.

Very cool time of year in New York.

Yeah! And, in just 3 weeks I'll be at Merkin Concert Hall, right near Lincoln Center... for our annual "Year-End Concert". TODAY! The box office is open if you feel like calling and getting tickets. Or, you can click on that thing over there on the right and get tickets online.

Call a few friends and make a night of it. It's on a Saturday night this year, (December 17th) and we lowered the price. All seats are $20 ...and, they're starting to sell pretty fast. There are 450 seats in Merkin Hall. Gonna be a great way to end this year. And, remember... there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Some people actually request balcony seats every year, maybe because it's so close to the stage. (Maybe the party-people just dig the balcony! I don't know.) Anyway, hope I see you there. We'll do a lot of singing and probably just as much laughing. It's always a good time in that hall.

Merkin Hall in December

Y'know, you can also get a ticket and come by yourself if you want. A lot of people do! It's just us! All the same faces from the Hill" in the summer. And, maybe if you guys start emailing me about places in the area you're gonna hang out after the gig, I'll catch up with some of you! We'll see how the night goes.

But before that, tomorrow night (Monday) I will be sitting in at the SGA Songwriter's Circle at The Red Lion on Bleecker Street. That's a blast. From 7 to 9 and it's FREE. This week, I've got a new song for you guys.

What else... oh yeah.

Just wanted to share this with you today. Y'know, over the years so many really cool people have handed me and emailed me photos of their family and friends, photos of themselves hangin' out with me on "The Hill" in Central Park. It's gonna be 60 degrees in the middle of this week. But, I wanted to share this photo with you. The guy who sent this in and his girlfriend built a snow-guitar-man a few winters ago... complete with a little microphone stand and little twig guitar.

Very cool.

This time of year when the weekend rolls around, I still get the urge to strap on my guitar and hang with you guys. That's why it's so cool that we've got Merkin Hall in 3 weeks!

Listen, I'll be back in full swing this week with a new original cartoon and a couple of other fun things.

But in the meantime, think about joining us at Merkin and really enjoy this week. And, if you are new here or reading this in a different part of the country or a different part of the world, why don't you take a few minutes to go back through the "Archives" and catch up on what's been goin' on at this site.... the articles, the cartoons, the FREE song downloads. And, if you wanna email me for any reason, just hit the "Contact" button. (I can't respond to every email I get, but I promise I read every single one.)

Talk to you later.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
