Hey... welcome to the website!

Thanks for stopping by.

Promised you a new cartoon this week. It's a little further down the page. (Y'know, when you download these free songs and the cartoons, I hope you're sending them around the internet to your friends and telling them where you got 'em!) We've got people hitting this website, now, from all over the country and around the world.

Very cool.

Listen, if you live in or around New York City... um... did you get your tickets for the "Year-End Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall? The box office is open today, so you can give them a call. Seriously, that gig is less than 3 weeks away!!! It's on a Saturday night this year! (December 17th)

212-501-3330

Or, you can get 'em online right over there on the right. So, call some friends and plan on making it a night. The tickets are starting to move pretty fast, but don't worry. Even though there are 450 seats in Merkin, there ain't a bad seat in the house. Even the balcony is reeeeallly close to the stage. (More about that a little later.)

First... how as your Thanksgiving weekend? Good, I hope.

I wanna say "thank you" to all of you... every single one of you who has ever made it out to Central Park to hang out with me on "The Hill". And, thanks for another amazing summer.

TONIGHT... two things. I'm gonna sit in at the SGA Songwriter's Circle at The Red Lion on Bleecker Street. (There are a whole bunch of really gifted writer's on that stage.) It's FREE, and it goes from 7 to 9. If you're ot doin' anything else, stop by. It's one of those little New York Secrets I'm always talkin' about. Then, I'm gonna shoot uptown to Birdland for Jim Caruso's Cast Party. I'm hooked on that thing. And, I hafta thank Christine Lavin for her cranberry relish recipe if she's there!

Um... if you are new here at the website, click on that "Archive" button and catch up on some of the fun stuff we've been doing around here. The recent cartoons are still there. The free downloads of "JesusLand" and "A different Cowboy's Lament" are still there for you to have for FREE. Take a few minutes and go find them.

Really looking forward to seeing you all at Merkin Hall. I've played that room over 10 times, and every year we have a great time. This year we lowered the price again to $20 for ALL seats.

Also, this year I think I'm gonna take a look at all the songlists you guys have been sending in with suggestions for a "Best of..." album in the spring. Then, besides the usual fun shit we do around the holidays, I'll have an idea what you wanna hear and sing.

Okay, before I get outta here... here's the new cartoon. (Click on the image for the full-size version to print out.)

If you can think of a title or a caption for this one, email it to me by clicking on that "Contact" button over there.

Hey! Whatever you're doing today, make it a worthwhile day for yourself.

Cool?

See you soon.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
