You thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?
Listen, I know there are people reading this in different parts of the country and different parts of the world. But, here in New York City it's startin' to look like we might get one more day where we can head out to Central Park for an afternoon of music. Probably Sunday. But, maybe both Saturday and Sunday. So, if it gets up around 60 degrees, check back here, okay?

It'd be really good to hang with you guys one mo' time in the park before we hafta move everything indoors for the season. But, the "indoor" stuff is cool, too. This year the "Year-End Holiday Concert" at Merkin Hall is on Saturday night, December 17th. That night is always a great way to send the year out the door. We all sing, laugh... hang together one more time in a great music hall. Tickets are on sale already. Tell your friends to get their seats sooner than later. There are 450 seats in Merkin, but we have sold it out in the past.
If you've ever been to one of these concerts, you know what I'm talkin' about. And, the tickets are back down to $20. So, start calling a bunch of friends and then call the box office to make sure you get the seats you want, okay? Like I said, it's only about 8 weeks away.
Box office: 212-501-3330
Box Office Hours:
Sunday - Thursday: 12-7pm
Fridays: 12-3pm
Oh listen before anything else today...
.
.

Y'know, that sweet soft-spoken woman just did the right thing. In a very quiet and powerful way, she helped to change the world for the better. Y'know, we all have that ability... ordinary miracles.
Y'know?
And, we can all be quiet heroes,
Living quiet days,
Walking through the world
Changing it in quiet ways.
Ordninary miracles, like candles in the dark
Each and every one of us, lights a spark.
Anyway... hey listen, seriously. I know there are lots of new people coming to the website these days. Would you do me a favor and mark this page right now as one of your favorites and make a point of stopping by every day. And, tell your friends to stop by, too. If you'd like to see what we've been up to around here, just hit the "Archives" button over there and browse through some recent updates. You'll find the new fun Homeland Security Charts, more great quotes from former Supreme Court nominee "Harry" Miers, free song downloads... all kindsa cool stuff.
In fact... today, I might as well give this song away again.
Now, I'm not a country artist, by any means. But, I wrote this as a country tune to make the point land a little harder. I'm giving it away for free, so you can pass it on to all your friends. Have fun.
It's called "JesusLand", and if you want a copy just click on the link that says...
...that's it, David! You're goin' to hell! (JesusLand)
Like I said, pass it around to your friends. Email the link to everyone you know. It's Free.
Oh yeah, Harriet Miers withdrew her name today.
(gasp)
.
.
Um... no kiddin'.
But, y'know, it gives the American "news" media something to focus on for another cycle other than the war raging in Iraq that has claimed over 2,000 Americans and over 100,000 Iraqi lives.
In that regard, would you do me another favor?
Would you all visit the...

...website. (Just click on the logo.)
Here's a chance for you to be a quiet hero today... walking through the world, changing it in a quiet, but very real way.
Help us out with this benefit concert we're doing. Show up for it in any way you can. And, feel really good that you are helping some people who really need help right now.
What am I talkin' about? Okay... me and a bunch of my good friends and colleagues decided we are gonna try to help the situation in Iraq whever we can. Not just talk... really help. Because the vast majority of the people getting hurt and killed in that nightmare over there are the innocent civilians in that part of the world, many of them children.
So, we're doin' a concert to help some extraordinary people get help to them... the Voices Together Concert.
Y'see, there is a woman we've found named Elissa Montanti, an otherwise ordinary New York woman, who has made 4 trips into Iraq to get people and bring them here to the States for the medical help they cannot get in that war-torn part of the world. She is an angel... a true hero. And, she's goin' back in two weeks! We want to help her do the work she has chosen to do in any way we can. Therefore, VOICES TOGETHER Concert.

She has done amazing things already for so many... but, everyday there is much, much more to do. We're also going to help a wonderful group of people doing the same kind of work, called LIFE. For these men and women, the nighmare hits very close to home. So, we're gonna do what we can to help them make this world a better place.
Here's the lineup of artists who are gonna join me on stage so far.
Christine Lavin
Roger Bartlett (My pal, "Dodger")
Sam Leopold
George Wurzbach
The list is growing. And, we're hoping for some really amazing surprise guests. You can get tickets for this event right now, today, by going to the Peter Norton SYMPHONY SPACE website. EVERY TICKET... ALL THE PROCEEDS ARE GOING DIRECTLY TO THESE GROUPS... ALL OF IT! THE ARTISTS ARE WORKING FOR FREE AND THE PRODUCTION IS BEING PAID FOR WITH OUTSIDE CONTRIBUTIONS!
AND! We also have a very limited number of VIP tickets available. But, if you want to order those and be invited to the reception after the show, you have to contact the Voices Together Group at:
Get VIP Tickets
The VIP section will get all kinds of goodies, and the artists will all hang out at the reception after the gig.
If you wanna help in another really extraordinary way, you can make a donation, right online, and become one of the "producers" of this concert. Really! You will be a concert producer! It's gonna be a special event that you are really gonna feel great being a part of.
Hey, to find out more about Elissa Montanti and the work she's doing, visit the Global Medical Relief Fund website. She's the main reason we started the whole thing. And, click here to find out more about LIFE.
And, oh... listen! If you're new here! Why don't you register in the new "Forum" (message board) while it's still there and jump in there to hang out with people from all over!
Be a quiet hero today, okay?
Maybe I'll see you in the Central Park this weekend!
Thanks for everything.
