Hey... welcome to my website!
I'm thinking that, unless we get a brief Indian summer, the outdoor concert season in Central Park is over for another year. So, right now I hafta say, "Thank you again, to everyone who came out to the park to hang with me this summer. You guys make me the luckiest man on the planet."

And, thanks for stopping by the website every day. (Be sure to tell your friends to stop by, too.) Today, I think I'm gonna make my brief but powerful argument against the teaching of intelligent design in public schools. But, first...
Last night was sooooo cool. I went down to the Red Lion in The Village to sit in at the SGA Songwriters Circle. As always, it was a great feeling to be sharing a stage with the artists that are a part of that monthly circle.
Then, after that I headed over to Birdland for Jim Caruso's Cast Party. When I got there I was completely unsure about what song to play until a woman I happened to meet, named Roe, mentioned that she and her husband loved all kinds of music... from classical to cabaret to that song about "Jesus on the dashboard...". So, I instantly knew I was gonna sing "JesusLand". I did the tune. (It reeealllly went over. Great crowd.) I mean, one woman sincerely "thanked" me for writing it and singing it. Made me chuckle, but it felt good. Then, after I gave Jim a handful of single CDs to give away... I settled in and really enjoyed the rest of the evening.
Okay... before I get to talkin' about the Voices Together Concert, I wanna talk a make an argument against teaching intelligent design in public schools.
.
In fact, it just might be the best argument against "intelligent" design, all together.

.
And, there ya go.
.
'nough said.
Anyway, listen... I'm gonna leave this rich, frat-boy alone for the rest of the day. Besides, while the work we're doing with the Voices Together Concert is because of him, in this effort as in many cases, focussing on the problem won't help with the solution.
Y'see, while I make no excuses or apologies for the way I personally feel about the current administration in Washington and this horrific situation they've created in Iraq, that is NOT what the VOICES TOGETHER concert is about. The theme of this effort is...
Ordinary people... helping ordinary people.
This concert is about helping the innocent civilians caught in that nightmare. Especially the children.
And, so...

As I do every day now, I wanna tell all the newcomers about this concert that we're doing' at Symphony Space here in New York City on January 28th.... what we're doing and why we're doing it. (Click on that logo to visit the Voices Website, okay?)
We... my friends and I... a bunch of ordinary people, refuse to ignore the carnage that is ravaging the Iraqi people... today... now... since the U.S. invasion.
And, there is a woman we've found named Elissa Montanti, an otherwise ordinary New York woman, who has made 4 trips into Iraq to get people and bring them here to the States for the medical help they cannot get in that war-torn part of the world. She is an angel... a true hero. We want to help her do the work she has chosen to do in any way we can. Therefore, VOICES TOGETHER Concert.

She has done amazing things already for so many... but, everyday there is much, much more to do.
Here's the lineup of artists who are gonna join me on stage so far.
Christine Lavin
Roger Bartlett (My pal, "Dodger")
Sam Leopold
George Wurzbach
The list is growing. And, we're hoping for some really amazing surprise guests. You can get tickets for this event right now, today, by going to the Peter Norton SYMPHONY SPACE website.
BUT! We also have a very limited number of VIP tickets available. But, if you want to order those and be invited to the reception after the show, you have to contact the Voices Together Group at:

The VIP section will get all kinds of goodies, and the artists will all hang out at the reception after the gig.
If you wanna help in another really extraordinary way, you can make a donation, right online, and become one of the "producers" of this concert. Really! You will be a concert producer! It's gonna be a special event that you are really gonna feel great being a part of.
Hey, to find out more about Elissa Montanti and the work she's doing, visit the Global Medical Relief Fund website. She's the main reason we started the whole thing.
And, oh... listen! If you're new here! Why don't you register in the new "Forum" (message board) while it's still there and jump in there to hang out with people from all over!
Oh, yeah... and go back through the "Archives" a little. I've been havn' a little fun the past week or so.
MAKE TODAY A SPECIAL DAY... OKAY?
I'll see you soon.
Thanks for everything.
