Okay... looks like we got ourselves a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the end of October to head to Central Park and share a little music. A little breezy, so bring a blanket and a sweatshirt for when the Sun slips behind the San Remo. But, if you live in New York City, maybe I'll see you out there today. Remember, though, it's gonna get dark kinda early today, so the music's gotta end a lot earlier than usual.

(I can tell by the stats on this site that a lot of people stop in here from all across the country and different parts of the world.) So, if you don't live around here... try to make it to New York City for one of the big concerts we've got comin' up this winter, okay? Either the "Year-End Holiday Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall in December, or the VOICES TOGETHER concert in January.)
New Yorkers... maybe I'll see you today.
Oh listen, I got an awful lotta fun email about the little drawing I did... the one I posted yesterday. (After Dick Cheney's right hand man, "Scooter", got indicted for repeatedly lying to a federal prosecutor.)

So, I was thinkin'. Y'know, I noticed that the "Forum" (message board) has been dead since the new format arrived. So, if you have a good title or caption for this cartoon, why don't you post it in there. The best one will win a pair of free tickets to the gig at Merkin Concert Hall. (I won't be the judge, though!) Then, maybe I'll do more cartooning in the coming weeks. But, let's just see how this goes. Post your idea in the "Forum" and indicate if it's a title or a caption.
You'll find the contest in the "Politics" section.
What else? Oh yeah... here. I'm giving away the song "JesusLand" again. If you want a free copy, or wanna tell a friend about it today, just click on this link that says...
...that's it, David! You're goin' to hell! (JesusLand)
Pass it around to your friends. Email the link to everyone you know. It's Free.
Okay, about those winter indoor concerts.
Every year, for the past 9 years, we've seen the year out the door with a gig at Merkin Concert Hall near Lincoln Center. I always, always look forward to that night. This year is no exception. That room gets filled with 450 of the nicest people in New York City and we have a blast every year. If you wanna get tickets today, you can. Or, make sure you start to round up the friends you wanna bring to this thing, and get tickets this week.
Box office: 212-501-3330
Box Office Hours:
Sunday - Thursday: 12-7pm
Fridays: 12-3pm
The concert is only about 7 weeks away!
Also... then, in JANUARY!
You've gotta be a part of...

As I do every day now, I wanna tell all the newcomers about this concert that we're doing' at Symphony Space here in New York City on January 28th.... what we're doing and why we're doing it. (Click on that logo to visit the Voices Website, okay?)
We... my friends and I... a bunch of ordinary people, refuse to ignore the carnage that is ravaging the Iraqi people... today... now... since the U.S. invasion.
Well, we found some remarkably good people who work out of Michigan, called LIFE, who have poeple on the ground in Iraq helping the civilians directly. And, there's a woman we've found named Elissa Montanti, an otherwise ordinary New York woman, who has made 4 trips into Iraq to get people and bring them here to the States for the medical help they cannot get in that war-torn part of the world. She is an angel... a true hero. We want to help her do the work she has chosen to do in any way we can. Therefore, VOICES TOGETHER Concert.
She has done amazing things already for so many... but, everyday there is much, much more to do.
And... she's goin' again. She's heading back to Iraq on November 10th.

Dalal lost her leg in the fighting . . . . . . . . . . . Dalal sowing off her new leg with Elissa
There is soooo much more to do. Please help us... help Elissa... help them.
