Hey, welcome to the website!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'm lookin' at the satellite imaging on the Weather Channel, and I gotta tell ya. Not lookin' so good for an outdoor concert in Central Park this weekend. I don't know, maybe Sunday afternoon. We'll see.

Well, the VOICES TOGETHER Concert is a go for January 28th. That's gonna be an amazing night. I'm gonna tell you guys about it a little further down the page. But, we do know that Christine Lavin. and Sam Leopold are gonna join me on the stage. And, Roger Bartlett (Dodger) is definitely flying to town for that gig, so I'll be looking to my right and, just as it should be... there will be Dodge. Waiting to hear from Karlus Trapp and George Wurzbach... and, a couple of other surprise guests.

It's gonna be great. (More further down the page.)

Hey, on a completely different note (pardon the pun) I was following this whole pathetic Harriet Miers "Love-note-to-George" thing. (Which I originally found to be just weird and a little unnerving... well, maybe just incredulous that any sentient human being could actually say...

"The president is the most brilliant man I've ever met."

But, then I started thinking about the possibilties.

She is in her sixties... she is single... she doesn't have a boyfriend... maybe, I don't know... is it too far-fetched to think that it's possible Bush is the only man she has ever met? (I thought, at least that would explain it.)

Then I did a little more research.

Other quotes from Harriet Miers:

"The president (George Bush) is the most brilliant man I've ever met."

"Dick Cheney is the most natural athlete and picture of health I've come across in all my years."

"I feel that Karl Rove has more integrity and kindness in his little finger than Mother Theresa has in her whole body."

"Oh, what a stand-up and fair-minded guy, that nutty Tom Delay! And, golly, what a smile!"

"Don Rumsfeld? What can I say? He just believes in the power of Love."

"I know for a fact Bill Frist did NOT get beat up alot in high school."

"Doncha think Trent's hair is just 'George Jetson' cool!?"

"Condi sure is direct, isn't she?!"

"Scott? Well, okay... even I have to admit Scott's a twinkie."

.

.

Okay. Enough of that. Those people make my head hurt and my heart sick.

Hey!

Y'know, the tickets are already on sale for the annual "Year-End Holiday Concert" at Merkin Concert Hall on December 17th. You can call the Merkin Hall box office today as a matter of fact. I know it's early. But, if you feel like getting the seats you want, call soon okay?

Box Office Hours:
Sunday - Thursday: 12-7pm
Fridays: 12-3pm

Now...

Why are we doing this concert?

Because a war is a war. And, I get the feeling that people in this country have become so desensitized to misery and suffering in the form of statistics, that the reality of the civilian casualties in this war has eluded many.

We, the ordinary people of this world, are going to help them. Because almost nobody else is.

Sadaam Hussein's trial... woo-hoo! Lasted for ten minutes! cpverage lasted all day. Another great reason for the news media to ignore the carnage that is ravaging the Iraqi people... today... now... since the U.S. invasion.

Well, there is a woman names Elissa Montanti, an otherwise ordinary New York woman, who has made 4 trips into Iraq to get people and bring them here to the States for the medical help they cannot get in that war-torn part of the world. She is an angel... a true hero. We want to help her do the work she has chosen to do in any way we can. Therefore, VOICES TOGETHER Concert.

She has done amazing things already for so many... but, everyday there is much, much more to do.

And... she's goin' again.

.
Dalal lost her leg in the fighting . . . . . . . . . . . Dalal sowing off her new leg with Elissa

But, there is soooo much more to do. Please help us... help Elissa... help them.

You can get tickets for this event right now, today, by going to the Peter Norton SYMPHONY SPACE website.

BUT! We also have a very limited number of VIP tickets available. But, if you want to order those and be invited to the reception after the show, you have to contact the Voices Together Group at:

Get VIP Tickets

The VIP section will get all kinds of goodies, and the artists will all hang out at the reception after the gig.

If you wanna help in another really extraordinary way, you can make a donation, right online, and become one of the "producers" of this concert. Really! You will be a concert producer! It's gonna be a special event that you are really gonna feel great being a part of.

Hey, to find out more about Elissa Montanti and the work she's doing, visit the Global Medical Relief Fund website. She's the main reason we started the whole thing.

And, oh... listen! If you're new here! Why don't you register in the new "Forum" (message board) while it's still there and jump in there to hang out with people from all over!

But, be cool, okay?

Thanks for everything.

Hope I see you soon.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
