Hey welcome to the website.

Quick heads-up. I'm gonna be in Central Park on Saturday this weekend, okay? In the usual place... from 12:30 until 6:00 like I always am.

Might have a couple of new original songs for you this weekend. Not sure yet. They are still writing themselves.

BUT, HERE'S SOME GOOD NEWS!

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insur.... no... no... AHHHHH!

No... good news. Dodger (Roger Bartlett) is gonna be back in New York City this weekend, and I've asked him to come sit in with me for a while on Saturday. So, if you didn't get a chance to hear Dodge and say so-long before he and his wife left for Vegas, you can hear him jam with me this weekend in the park.

That's Dodger in the cool lid.

Anyway, yeah... lookin' forward to jammin' with Dodger. Gonna have a chance to take him out for that steak dinner, too. Didn't get a chance to do that before he left the Apple.

We're also gonna be abe to sit down and talk about musical plans for the VOICES TOGETHER Concert here in New York in January.

Hey listen... if you are reading this right this minute, and you wanna help us out... I mean, really help us produce this concert, then go to the VoicesTogether website and donate a few bucks, okay? YOU will be listed as a producer of the show on the website and in the program, because that's what you are.

Seriously, right now... click on the logo, and go to the donate page on the new website!

If you don't know what this concert is all about, go to that website. Or, just hit the "Archives" button over there on the right and read yesterday's update, okay?

It's really important. I know life goes on. And, I know there are people on the Gulf coast who need help. (We're helping where we can.) And, yes, there is another storm moving in.

But, as life goes on... everybody's gotta pick a place to really make a difference in this world. My good friends, colleagues, and I live our lives, make music, do our jobs, do our best... and, we picked the children and innocent civilians who are being so badly hurt in the war in Iraq. Please help us help them. Most of them are essentially alone and being ignored by the world in there suffering. So, join us? Make it a part of your day today... okay? Go to the VOICES TOGETHER website right now.

But, completely switching gears! Oh man! Um...

GO YANKEES!

What a weird season this has been so far. And, the pennant race this year is jammed tight. The Yankees took over first place last night in a nailbiter of a game. They are a half game up on the Red Sox.

.

If the two teams wind up with identical records like they did in '78, MLB tossed the coin a few days ago. The extra game will be played up at Yankee Stadium.

Cool.

Okay, so... Saturday in Central Park with Dodger. And Sunday I'll be playing down at the Free Kayak Dock in Riverside Park again. (On the river at 72nd street.)

Cool?

Okay. I'm probably gonna update this page again in a little while. I saw a show last night at the Zipper Theater called "Once Around the Sun" and I'll give you my review. (As if you care!) No, it's a good show that may have a future. I truly wish them luck. There are a few artists on that stage that are definitely the real thing. And, most of the music is kickin'.

Anyway... oh yeah.

It seems that participation in the message board (Forum) has dropped off the face of the earth. The old one was torn down by the websmaster early this week, and it might take people some time to gravitate toward the new system. But, if you feel like it, jump in there and say "Hi".

I will see you here later, and in the park this weekend.

Thanks again.

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
