Hey, thanks for stopping by the website.

Good weekend of music this past weekend. I had another typically amazing day in Central Park on Saturday.

Truly... thank you so much.

It was a little disappointing that "Dodger" didn't make it out to "The Hill". He's only in town for a few days, but somehow his flight and luggage got all screwed up flying in. So, he spent a good part of Saturday chasing down his stuff instead of playing music and sittin' in with us in the park. Damn! But, y'know what? I'm thinkin' that maybe I can get him to sit in at the Red Lion tonight. I'll give him a call and see!

Oh yeah... TONIGHT!

I'm sittin' in at the SGA Songwriters Circle at the Red Lion. It goes from 7 to 9 and...

IT'S FREE!

So, seriously, if you've never been to one of these, try to make it down. I get to share the stage with some really gifted and hysterically funny songwriters. It's really a very cool thing. The Red Lion is really easy to get to, as well. It's in The Village, at Bleecker and Thompson. And, like I said... it's free!

Hey listen... seriously... thank you so much for coming out to the Hill in Central Park with me this year. The good energy is really tangible to anyone who's heart is open. I get dozens and dozens of emails a day from first-timers as well as people who've been coming out there for years. I wish there was a way to share all of them them with all of you, because those messages should really go to everyone who shares the experience together. The "Good" feeling really does drive the negativity out into space. Thanks. We'll keep it up until it gets too cold to play, okay? George Harrison wrote a great tune called "Beware of Darkness". Well, we'll just keep chasing the darkness away.

It's just us.

Um... in that regard... some very close friends and colleagues of mine are involved in an effort to produce a concert to help some people who reallly need help right now. In January, we are going to mount the VOICES TOGETHER Concert. (YOU can help us produce the show... and, you will be listed on the VOICES TOGETHER website as a producer.

Here's the whole idea of this massive effort.

Ordinary people... helping ordinary people.

Y'know, if you truly want to make the world a better place, there are different ways to go about it. Some people feel you can do it with bombs and bullets. But, this isn't an argument or a debate.

'Cause, one way that is undeniably true for me is to actually reach out and directly and physically help someone.... or, someone's child who has been horribly hurt in a war.

Y'know... it's gotta be just a little bit harder to hate someone who is bandaging your child's head, or fitting them with a new leg. It's gotta be just a little bit harder to hate someone who's rebuilding your home or your school.

Please... click on that logo further down, right now, and go to the VOICES TOGETHER website and help us produce this show. Because once the production costs are covered... EVERY nickel of the proceeds from the gig will go directly to Elissa Montanti and her Global Medical Relief Fund (She has made 4 trips to Iraq to bring injured children to the States to get the medical help they need so desperately.) We'll also be helping an group called LifeUSA, who do amazing good work on the ground in Iraq with the ordinary, innocent civilians whose lives are being torn apart on a daily basis in the fear and violence in that part of our world.

So, go ahead... make today a special day for yourself. Click on this logo...

...and help us out. Okay?

Of course, we're looking for those huge angels who can afford to send a $5,000 tax deductible donation.... or $1000... or $100... but, ANY amount will help.

And you will ALL be listed on that website as "Producers" of the show... and, in the program that night!

Thanks.

Hope I see you at the Red Lion this evening. We'll have a lot of laughs. And, maybe we'll have a few special guests!

Thanks again

A note from filmmaker Dean Love...

As you may know I am producing a documentary about "That Guitar Man from Central Park". I would like to ask all David's fans out there to write me and tell me any stories you may have about David and his playing in Central Park and how it has affected you or what it has meant to you. I've already heard some great stories, but I know there are more that I haven't heard. So if you got a story to tell about David and his music, please briefly write it out and send it to stories@thatguitarman.com . I will be contacting people from the stories submitted to interview them for possible inclusion in the film. Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone on the hill this summer.
