Okay... I know there's been a little confusion.
I will be in Central Park tomorrow. SATURDAY AFTERNOON
I have a feeling the weather is gonna be perfect. I'm just head out there and do what I do. "Crazy on the Same Day", "Just Hafta Trust Me", "People on the Hill", "Talk Louder"... and I think I'll probably pull "JesusLand" out again. (People have been requesting it.)

And, my good friend and partner, "Dodger" (Roger Bartlett), is coming through New York City this weekend. So, I invited him to come to Central Park and sit in for a while. It's gonna feel great to make music with him.

Dodger has played on 4 of my 6 albums
Okay, couple of things. Again... THIS IS IMPORTANT.
I was talkin' to somebody on the phone the other day, and I mentioned again how cool it is being able to do what I do, flying under-the-radar for so long. I mean, nobody knows about what I do in Central Park every week... except the few hundred thousand people that know about it. (Truth is, man! I gotta write that book!) But, I swear... if I find the next young voice of reason, I'll bring him or her out to "The Hill" and make them a part of the VOICES TOGETHER Concert in January.
Hey listen... as far as that concert goes. I was backstage at a benefit for the victims of Katrina last week, and I chatted with songwriter Christine Lavin about it. Hoping to talk to Christine again this Monday. Now... we are trying to get another very special artist to join us in this effort. If we do... this powerful and beautiful evening will become even more powerful. Close your eyes and hope that he says, "Yes."
Most importantly, if you are reading this right now... WE NEED YOU TO SHOW UP!
Um... no not only at the concert. We need you to show up now. Please go to the VOICES TOGETHER website right now and make a tax-deductible donation to help us produce the concert in January. You will be listed on the site, and in the program, as one of the concert "producers"... because that is literally what you are. If you can help out in a really significant way, please feel free to email one of us personally through that website, and we'll be happy to meet with you over a cup of coffee someplace.
Cool?
In the meantime, please email me and let me know if you really do want to help out with producing this gig. I will meet you, sit down, and listen to what you think you can bring to the party. Right now, we need to raise about another 20 to 25 thousand dollars. It's so cool... already, the "People on the Hill"... you guys... have raised over $11,000. Maybe we'll find that one or two angels among us who can afford to give $1,000 or $5,000 or more. IT'S ALL TAX-DEDUCTIBLE so that oughta help!
If you don't know what I'm talking about... this concert is part of a sincere effort to get as much help as we possibly can directly to the innocent civilian families, especially the children, who are living through the war in Iraq.

This is gonna be a very special night here in New York City. And, like I said, you are welcome to be a real part of it. Help us produce this concert so that we can help some very special people who are doing some very remarkable work in that part of the world, okay?
And, it'll feel good to help. And... it'll actually be fun.
Y'know what!? Click on this logo and visit the new website...

...and, find out how you can be a real part of VOICES TOGETHER. Really make a difference for the better in this world, when ordinary people here reach out to help the ordinary people of Iraq.
What else? Okay. Everyday life, fun, and things that keep us sane.
AHHHHHHH! YANKEES!
Padded thier lead in first place just a little last night with a win over Baltimore, sweeping that 4-game series. Mike (Moose) Mussina looked great in his comeback. Gonna be an exciting race to the finish against Boston.

Those three games in Boston at the end of the season are gonna be something! (Unless the Yankees bury the Red Sox before then.)
Okay.
See you guys in the park tomorrow.
Oh, yeah... and, I'll be in Riverside Park (near the Free Kayak Dock at 72nd street) on SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
.
Thanks again.
